Really happy we went with a local cabinet maker. Quality, customer service and turn around time was fantastic! We found great value in the product and couldn’t be happier with how our laundry and bathroom has turned out.
I am so happy we went custom, our space has been maximised and flows so well.

A Truly Terrible Experience
I didn’t even get to the cabinetry phase! I gave the go ahead and got no further.
I am in the process of doing a renovation and extension of a dining/outdoor area. In the process we are replacing all of our cabinetry. Both my husband and I have been in and around the building industry for over 20 years so have dealt with many trades and building processes during that time.
I contacted BFP in early February to discuss cabinets for our kitchen, laundry and ensuite. A quote was sent though which was acceptable to us.
I met with Aaron Tucker in early March to discuss further and see if they would be a good company to work with. Aaron mentioned our plans were straight forward and he could see no difficulties. He said that they could install within 5 to 7 weeks as they had just put some more staff on. Aaron said all the right things and I was really comfortable. We gave them the go ahead immediately.
After not hearing from Aaron for a bit over 3 weeks I rang to see how things were going and he stated that nothing started until the appliances had been dropped off to them. This was news to me, so I dropped them off the next day. We did not receive any acknowledgement of what I had dropped off and it was left to us to confirm exactly what I had delivered. No response again. Close to the end of the 5-week period provided we had not had 1 email/phone call or follow up. I sent an email to see how things were going, Aaron sent a reply back that he was going to look at our job tomorrow (late April)
8 days passed , no email/feedback/follow up/questions from Aaron which I thought was a bit strange as there are always things that need to be nutted out. I touched base to see how he was going and was told that he hadn’t even bothered looking at our job because I had had to make a minor layout change due to a roof beam being in the way of the rangehood ducting. All very minor changes that had no effect on plans.... that had yet to be commenced or documented. Aaron took great delight in telling me that he had put a number of other jobs ahead us because of these changes.
At this point when I attempted to talk this through I received a torrent of abuse. I am not just talking about a little bit of antsy discussion. I was shocked and appalled and can’t actually recall when I have been spoken to like this. Aaron told me that they were too busy, had too much work on to deal with customers and their questions. The calmer I tried to speak with Aaron, the more angry and heated he became. We decided that we could not proceed and he told me to pick up our appliances this morning at 7.00.
We are none the wiser what this tirade was about, but how would problems be resolved along the way if we had proceeded we thought? I can’t even fathom to think what would have happened if there had been a real and consequential issue during the manufacturing process.
I understand that there is congestion in building at the moment, but all businesses make choices about how much work they commit to and how many customers they can service. This is a decision that has consequences for customers and ultimately for the reputation of the business.
It is clear that Busselton Furniture Products have taken on too much work and they cannot or do not want to service their customers.
A friend just had her kitchen installed after Easter after giving the go ahead to BFP in September 2023, some 4 months after their promised date. Is it time for this company to stop taking on work and service the customers they have?
As a postscript to this sorry experience, my husband went to pick up our appliances this morning. He found that they had been dumped on the bitumen at the back of the workshop. He was provided no assistance to load these nor were the appliances protected in any way. Hard to fathom how these guys are still in business.
I write very few reviews but when things like this happen it's important to read something other than friends and family saying how good a business is.
