Stubbled onto this shop by chance, and what I thought may be another “touristy” shop has turned out to be a gem of its own kind!
Very friendly staff, knowledgeable and truly masters of their trade at all levels that can be seen on spot - watching Steven ( a true Opal legend) working at his bench creating beautiful jewellery, or chatting to Adrian ( very helpful and patient) and other guys at the shop.
The best and most extensive Opal collection I’ve seen, and all reasonably priced.
And yes, it is tourist friendly as well ;)

Friends from overseas found this shop and were absolutely enamoured with the opals inside. So much so that they returned to the shop three times to look at the beautiful gems. The customer service was excellent, Adrien was extremely helpful and cheerful to help my friends pick out the opal they fancied. The manager is also extremely friendly and funny too. Watching them work felt magical with how passionate they are about opals. Overall, great experience and very welcoming!!

Edit: forgot to mention, they were all very patient with how long my friends took in looking at the gems for those three days and helpful as well!!

The best place to buy opal jewellery. Opal Mine has an incredible range of opals and a wealth of knowledge. They were very patient with me while I took my time to choose the perfect opal ring. It was hard to choose with so many incredible opals to choose from. I am so pleased with the ring I bought, it is gorgeous.

This shop was amazing. Beautiful, handcrafted opal jewellery that were unique and interesting. Downstairs was a replica opal mine that you can wander through and look at with video information. Well worth checking out. I bought an amazing piece at a great price and will treasure it forever. Thanks Adrian for helping me with my selection. You were awesome!

This place is amazing! A massive range of Opal jewellery. Very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I had personalised assistance with choosing a beautiful piece of Opal to match Opal I already had. I was also offered a free cleaning of the jewellery I had on at the time while I looked around. Wow what a fantastic experience this was to visit these guys at unique Opal mine! There shop was spectacular how it is set up and the gentleman in there went above and beyond to tell us all about the history of how they hand make all of their pieces…. So for my son who is 10 years old & obsessed with anything to do with Opal and it’s mining this was a dream for him to visit this place. Adrian who served us was just fantastic and so helpful! We stayed in here for like over an hour just in complete awe of what these amazing and talented small family business has built up… and their Opal pieces are truly spectacular. If you are in Adelaide this place must be a priority to go and see 🙌 we will definitely be back to purchase more of their amazing pieces of handmade opal jewellery. Blown away by the experience my son and I had in there today…. Fantastic job guys 🙏
