Gorge Rock Picnic Area

Nice clean peaceful free camp. A bit of history for the area displayed on site. Walk to the pool is easy however a climb if you want to get on top of the rock. Pit toilet, picnic tables but no bins so take your rubbish with you.

Great place for picnic or BBQ. Picnic table with individual fire pits, in natural bush. Information boards of the history of the area and construction of the pool. Nice easy walk around the base of the rock and an pretty easy walk to the top for some beautiful views of the pool and surrounds. No toilets or rubbish bins on site, so you must take all rubish with you and leave nothing but your footprints behind. 😉

Great place to visit and go walking over the rock and take in the old swimming pool and read about the local history. A good overnighter with reasonably level area to park. Quite a few park benches, but no toilets.

Great spot to stop in and visit and a nice little free camp area. We were hoping to camp here but it was packed. Not a large area but nice and flat. Will definitely be back to try our luck again one day.

Lovely stop over on route .. camping possible (self-contained), dog friendly, or picnic. Swimming not allowed.. a shame but understandable.

Great spot to stop for a break. Displays of history of the sites so went walking to find them, also climbed the rock.

Awesome free camp, everyone staying should look after the area.
We picked up a bag full of discarded tissue/toilet paper.

A really interesting place to visit. The pool was really worth seeing and the views from the top were great, especially at this time of the year. The historical information was very interesting.
There are no facilities but the camping spot is really nice if you're self contained.

Well worth a stop in exorong this area. Steeped in so much history from our past to the early settlers. The geology while not as impressive as Wave rock is still worth taking the time to explore

Amazing place, hidden away, deceptively massive. A wonderful place to spend time exploring and enjoying.
