Self-contained RV Parking (24h)

This is a good, quiet bitumen overnight camp spot, although the 3 only sites could be a little further apart. It is only a 24-hour stay, which doesn't give you much time to look around (or spend money in the town). The signs clearly state, "self-contained only," but obviously, from the disgusting mess all over the bitumen, many campers don't think it applies to them. I wonder if they are the same people always complaining because these spots get closed. 🤔

Great little spot to call in for a culpa or a stop overnight on the way through. Capel is a fab little spot as well, so enjoy.

Peaceful place, lots of space...normally just 3 spots for bigger rigs, but possible parking along the street, toilets nearby

Great free camp. Walking distance into town. Baker, butchery, IGA and cafes. RV friendly town but the dump point is padlocked and you need to ring for the code 🤷‍♂

Free overnighter is usually a good thing, but this one was a cut above. I set the kids loose on the oval, them we all migrated up to the playground to run out energy.
The bird life around nd the area out on a little concert in the evening and next morning and was a real treat.

Fair warning, the drainage ditch next to the parking is a pretty good mosquito breeding site and they are BIG. Even that wasn't enough to knock a star off though.

It's good... Arrived after 18:00hrs.. assisted with parking by the other caravanners. Had a great Friday night meal at the bowling club fir $20 that included dessert .. Thank you Capel. Lovely hospitality. We'll pop in again 😃

Extremely convenient.

Nothing else besides a quiet place to sleep, which is better than usual for a free spot. Walked 10min to the nearest bathroom and left before any ranger came because we weren’t fully self contained. Only 3 official stops but plenty of space around to park anyway.

Great spot for a free camp. Thankyou. BUT.. kids on motorbikes thrashing around in the dark around the oval. Yobbos in loud junk heap cars burning around the area aswell. Blaring music till late. Will not return.
