We visited Local Goat as part of our Amazing Co picnic experience. We met Julie, heard all about their goat rearing and sampled yummy cheeses, labneh and homemade gelato that they have on offer. Delicious wares, friendly service and a sustainably run small local business......what's not to love! Well worth checking out.

Julie does a casual but informative talk about the goats and the different methods for making the cheeses. Visit the goats out the back. Then you get to taste all the produce. Our favourite was the chilli feta. New range of gelato too. Loved the chocolate especially!
Take an esky or cooler bag for purchases.

What an interesting place! Beautiful banksia woodland that the proprietors are leaving intact as they're environmentally responsible types, so there were fairy wrens greeting us as we arrived. Also greeting us was Julie, who in a very engaging manner, told us about the business, the cheese and the goats - very interesting. She also dealt out samples of what was on offer. It's delicious goat cheese, and I'm particularly impressed by the feta the romano style. So good! And she had gluten free crackers - locally made - so that's an extra mark from us! Whilst we were there we also tried the goat milk gelato, oh, it is so good! So if you have problems with cows milk but love icecream it's definitely something you should try! 5 stars, and will definitely visit again.

Beautiful, artisan cheese. The farmhouse, feta and camembert were delicious, and the labneh is to-die-for. 🐐

We visited over the weekend as part of the AmazingCo tour. We enjoyed Julie's informative talk about the history of the property, how they came about goat farming and making cheeses. The cheeses and gelato are amazing. Julie was very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth the drive there. Our favourite stop of the 6 we visited on the Chittering Valley.

Superb! My wife and I met Julie (and some of the goats) and she patiently explained the cheesemaking process, which chefs were using their artisan cheeses and she went through some of the new products that they were introducing. The visit was a highlight of our AmazingCo mystery picnic. Well worth a visit!

Julie was fantastic, the feta is phenomenal, and treat yourself to some gelato. We got rained out before we could say hi to the goats, but it's a beautiful location with lovely products and people.
