Excellent service from the wonderful, friendly staff, great value food (big Rump, decent cut) and the beer garden is a nice spot with good shade. I cannot recommend this place enough. Do your yourself a favour if you are heading to Mannum and the River and want a great meal or even just a cold beer. 👌

Had a lovely, fresh & cooked to perfection seafood basket in the beautiful shady beer garden with hundreds of butterflies.

What a quaint friendly pub, the owners and staff are just so friendly. The food is very tasty and good value. 👍 We stayed at the free camp amongst the olive trees at the Cricket ground, (donation appreciated )which was a pleasant 10 min. walk to the pub.

Very nice steak for lunch others had bangers and mash also appreciated, good service considering they were very busy.

Have been there twice for a mid week lunch. Service is classic country and the food was fantastic. Beef schnitzel old style, plate just big enough for it and a taste that I thought had disappeared. Highly recommend but you might want to book, sometimes very busy. Over all excellent.

A classic old fashioned Aussie regional pub. Great service and food. Lovely beer garden and a short drive from the river. Also the Bear Rock Blues Festival last month was awesome!!!

Absolutely awesome country pub .... such a shame they are shut on Tuesdays. Was really looking forward to a beer last Tuesday... hopefully this year is better for business and thus potentially justifying opening more days :) ... otherwise will have to just go for bike rides on different days :)

We had a fantastic Saturday night at the Palmer Hotel. Make a booking if you’re planning to go as the only tables available for us were in the pool room which was fine because we smashed beers and played most the evening. The food was sensation and the crumbing on the schnitzel is other worldly

Wonderful country pub. Friendly staff. Excellent food served quickly. Large menu with reasonable prices. Able to cater for allergies within reason.

I probably wouldn't call this a typical country pub, looks like one! But the food is more restaurant standard but it's always really nice! Friendly staff, no pokies, beautiful beer garden!

I've tried many places in the mid Murray and here is the best pub food in the area. Excellent service, an unbeatable atmosphere and sense of community. Idyllic rustic country style beer garden, small but comfy dining room. Keep a look out for their monthly handmade market every 3rd Saturday, it only adds to the charm. The only service I haven't tried is their accommodation but I have no doubt it's equally as impressive. It might not have slick renovations or two metre stone walls to look at, but it's a fantastic country pub with its own character. Superb staff and management, I've never felt uncomfortable for a moment there. And that's saying something as I'm someone who feels uncomfortable taking my bins out. Don't miss out if you're in the area!

It's a great pub to stop for a drink or stop for a old fashioned pub meal, the chicken and beef schnitzels are awesome. We stopped in for a drink Sat arvo on our motorbike ride. The staff there are friendly and enjoy a laugh. A nice laid back place to stop.
