Royal Rooster

We recently bought the chicken palace- medium extension. It fits beautifully in our inner city garden and is both stylish, functional well designed and well made. Can not fault anything! I received fantastic service from Kerry and Brad and even had a chicken guard door installed which works like a dream. These are great coops- I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them- it’s a bit of an epic build to assemble but the results are worth the effort! Our chickens are happy and safe and I’m so happy with our new coop!

Recently purchased the Hexagonal Aviary for our Galah. Firstly have to say the speed in which it was delivered to us here in Western Australia was amazing. From the date it was ordered to delivery by TNT was nothing short of fantastic: ordered 17/3/22 and delivered 31/3/22. It was pretty easy to assemble with good instructions. The proof is in the pudding check out the photos, could not be happier, we love it and so does our Baby Boy!!

Just got the feeders set up today. They are really good and I can see will save us a lot of spilt feed.

After this first little feeding renzy, only about three crumbs on the ground.

Most impressed!!! I find the Royal Rooster products both functional & stylish. They have captured unique & effective design features (as an engineer with a rural upbringing I was impressed) - the smart features drew me away from competing designs. I'm also pretty impressed with their customer service, and reliability of product.

My children enjoy raising chickens as pets and the Royal Rooster coops provide ideal accommodation for our hens. These coops are durable, but still light enough that we can regularly move the chickens to fresh grass, resulting in beautiful eggs with yolks much more yellow than the free range supermarket eggs. Royal Rooster customer service has been excellent. It is great to see an Australian company which is innovative and enthusiastic about their quality products.

Got the Drinker and Feeder Set, easy to install and my chickens took to it immediately, saves all the mess. it arrived extremely fast and to top off a great product, it is Australian made. Thank you.

It’s…fine? I guess? We have had our cage for several months now. The nesting box extension leaks a lot whenever there is rain, meaning you need to change out the nesting materials and dry the wooden boxes every day when it rains. The cage is really heavy and hard to manoeuvre by yourself (we did get the largest size but we are on totally flat, level ground, I did think it would be easier to move than it is. Just be aware of this if you are by yourself or have any physical mobility issues) We ordered the snake mesh but the gaps around the doors and windows were so large that we had to request extra metal facings to be sent and then attach them ourselves. We are in python country and have already had one on the cage that would have easily been able to enter the unrepaired gaps that were originally there. Royal Rooster did send us those facings free of charge when we asked and that was good. But if you need the cage to be snake proof you should be aware of this and maybe request the doors and nesting box opening to fit a lot more snugly when you order? That may then cause door closing issues on uneven ground though. Again-just be aware of this with your own circumstances.
So all in all-it is technically working.
But for a large, expensive purchase we thought we would love it a lot more than we do.

I decided to buy my coop from Royal Rooster because I wanted a premium product that I would be really happy with for years to come. Once I started to assemble the coop, however, I was disappointed to find that the pre-fabricated parts hadn't been constructed with nearly as much care and attention to detail as I had expected given the price charged. There were many instances where parts of the coop hadn't been cut to exactly the right size, or where holes hadn't been drilled in exactly the right place. The door at the enclosed end wasn't aligned properly and didn't open at all without significant adjustments. The wheels are also so flimsy I've given up on moving the coop since it was purchased over a year ago. The finished product is OK, but not nearly as sleek as I was expecting. Also, the waterproof cover on the feeder does not keep the feed from getting waterlogged. Royal Rooster replaced it with another one but it has exactly the same problem and I have now had to replace it with another feeder from a different company.

Bought the manual sliding door and was short supplied on hardware. Incredibly frustrating we had to drive to Bunnings to buy the missing pieces.

Honestly, putting it together was a nightmare. I cannot even fathom how something so expensive is so insanely challenging to assemble.
