Excellent service & great food!

Both in tandem seem to be a bit of a rarity these days, fortunately they can be found at Ong.

We opted for the "Feed Me" option and had a great time. Can also request certain menu items for the feed me which is great but we let the kitchen take the reigns. 3 x Entrees, 3 x Mains, 1 x Dessert. Portions were huge!

Contemporary Asian food with bold flavours; the savoury can be quite so and likewise to the sweet. Not my favourite palette style but not a criticism either. Just worth mentioning for those wondering what flavours to expect. - Still the flavours are splendid and terrifically nuanced in some dishes (the sauce for the fried chicken, yum!).

Wait staff are attentive and consistent, we engaged with lots of different staff and even amongst all the hustle and bustle of a fast paced city restaurant they all presented themselves courteously and with professionalism. Neighbouring table had an issue and the problem was resolved exactly how I would have in the past. Bravo!

Special mention to Jason - a shining example of how hospitality should be.

Delicious! Although having eaten Vietnamese food before, the dishes we ordered were not what we expected. They were incredibly tasty, fresh and well made.
The chicken was a standout.
The service was very friendly and helpful.
Overall loved it.
(Although I'm not a fan of the Mango Sour beer which is not made by them.)

We’ve been here for lunches, dinners and recently - for the Lunar New Year set dinner, and Ong’s never disappointed. Service has always been attentive, and the food - always yummy. Love the beef sandwich with the Pho dip for lunch. The Lunar New Year set dishes were super generous, and all dishes that night ( plus the Lion Dance ) were all great.

Phong and his team just keeps on providing amazing quality food and service. Cannot recommend Ong enough if you’re after a great feed and even better service. Can’t wait to come back

Best Vietnamese food I’ve ever tasted. Delicious gluten and dairy free dishes. Super tasty fresh food variety including tasty vegetarian dishes. I was part of a group of 16 people and 5 people had food allergies- the restaurant had great attentive service and were able to provide a banquet and incorporate gluten and dairy free option. I loved every dish provided - love this restaurant

My favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Adelaide - nothing compares. The menu has an excellent variety of dishes, it’s well-priced and with charming service in the heart of Rundle St. Perfect spot for date-night or with the family. My go-to is the lamb ribs, wagyu pho, squid, mussels and salmon sashimi. But everything on the menu will please.

This place has great food, super friendly wait staff who are interactive and helpful with great atmosphere! Definitely a great dinner spot if you're in the mood for some interesting western and Vietnam and other asian fusion dish cause there's some wagyu dish in here, even in pho you van put wagyu. The wagyu was okay but the staff made the experience ✨✨. Try the coconut rice with the mussel soup, it is amazing !!!! Very creamy and savory.

What a cute little restaurant. Lights are beautiful and set the mood for an evening meal nice.
Service was very polite and friendly. Cocktails are amazing food was extremely amazing everyone enjoyed their meals and although it was my first time there the others said they had been before and had favourites on the menu. The staff even took a group photo for us all together. Such a good experience Ill definitely be back again soon.

Went here for dinner on a Friday night, and we were so impressed!

I ordered a cocktail and they were out of one of the key ingredients, but staff were so friendly and helpful so that I could have something similar. We then ordered food and were impressed with the serving sizes - it’s a definitely a place you could share multiple plates between a group.

My partner said the Beef & Brisket Pho was the best he’d ever had, and we also enjoyed the eggplant, broccoli, and squid, plus coconut rice on the side.

Every dish tastefully prepared.
We have a large family gathering and so it “family“ style. The lamb ribs were impeccably spiced. Pho was as good as it gets. We had so many excellent dishes. I could eat here every day.

Really nice Vietnamese restaurant. The Interior design, furniture, lighting and feel is great. Someone really thought about this and just nailed it. Really comfortable

The food and drinks are just amazing, the cocktails are delicious, the menu isn’t huge, but still plenty for everyone and some options for the Vegetarians and Vegans also.

Me and my partner enjoyed an amazing dinner. The waiting staff were fantastic. Especially Jason. He was very knowledgeable about the drinks and the menu. This place has delicious food and really friendly service. Highly recommended. A Vietnamese gem. We will be back. I’m looking forward to trying more delicious menu items.

Interesting cocktails and tasty food at a very reasonable price. Friendly staff, saved a table for us while we had a wine elsewhere and saved my jacket too. The prawn starters are a must 🤤

No words to say, it's amazing food as been said through recommendations. A place you'll have to come and try it yourself. From entrees to desserts and even drinks... everything could not be faulted on. Servings are great for small and large groups. The dishes we had were full of flavour we keeps you going back for more. I've had Noi Vietnamese Eatery before so wanted to try Ông out and it definitely exceeded my expectations.

Beautiful restaurant with a really good atmosphere.
The food was really really good, the corn ribs perfectly cooked, the coconut rice delicious and the yellow curry and the wagyu beef absolutely amazing 👌🏻 the portions were also pretty good size.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
I definitely suggest to try out this place, you won't be disappointed.

I had been here once and had a good (but not memorable) experience. I ended up coming back a few moths later and had the “feed me” option. Absolutely amazing. Every dish was super tasty and there was a good balance between vegetarian options and meat. They were quite busy on a Tuesday evening, so service was a bit slow (although super friendly) and the room was noisy with the door being constantly open (and not closed) and a cold breeze coming in, but none of that detracted from an excellent experience!

Dinner at @ong.vietnamesekitchen from a little while ago: pretty good food - very similar to Noi, of course. Enjoyed pretty much everything 😊.

Corn ribs: fried corn ribs, house spice mix, spring onion oil, lime aioli. These were fantastic! Good flavours and nothing gets stuck in the teeth 😅.

Crispy rice paper, with duck, hoisin, spring onion oil, sesame, fried shallots. I've loved this dish at Noi, and we had to get it here too. So tasty!

Pork betel leaf: wok tossed pork, coconut, lemongrass, chilli, betel leaf. Really great flavours!

Stuffed chicken wing: deboned chicken wing stuffed with chicken mince, mushroom, rice noodle with sticky fish sauce. Really loved it! Full of savoury stuff inside and a crispy outside.

Twice cooked pork belly: crispy pork belly, tamarind glaze, green apple salad. Perfectly crispy pork! Slightly unimaginative, but sometimes you just want crispy pork 😜😅.

Salt and pepper lamb ribs: twice cooked, five spiced salt and pepper, herb and lime salad, mint and lemon sauce. These lamb ribs were fantastic! Super tender and full of flavour 🤤🤤.

Crab bun rieu noodles: blue swimmer crab, thick rice noodles, tomato and herbs, wok tossed in bun rieu, butter sauce. Really tasty dish! Never had anything like this before. Lots of ingredients that work very well together.

Roasted barramundi: roasted with tumeric and coconut in banana leaf, herb salad, chilli lime. Bold flavours. Excellent dish!

Easily the best restaurant on the east end! Service is above and beyond + the food is simply incredible and always consistent. Special shoutout to front of house expert Jason and the gurus making the magic happen Chef Jesse and Anthony. Could not recommend this place more. Experience it already!

We had last night so many wonderful tastes the sizzling plate wagu beef was fantastic the best I ever had,choice of entrees very good rice paper pork belly another stand out flavour topped off with Hanoi beer.
I felt I was back in Hanoi in the French Quarter again,thank you great food.
