Melt Hyde Park

My family & I had a lovely meal on Monday night here. Food was great, service was great and lovely atmosphere. Plus they catered for gluten free, through all the courses we had.

We had an hour to eat before a film at Mitcham and were pleased Melt was open on Monday. We were quickly seated, enjoying our drinks while checking the share plates menu [I won't say Tapas since in our many years racing and travelling in Spain we enjoy Tapas in it's historic context as a gift when buying a drink]

We ordered three small plates - all were delicious!

Service was great, and, with 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine so was the $83 price

The pizza being served to nearby tables were generously topped when out of the oven with tasty, fresh accompaniments - we'll try one next time!

The tapas are most pleasing and flavourful. The owner is conscious about food wastage and assisted us with the orders. The pizza are toppings are exotic fresh and trendy. We ended up ordering food that was needed and required for 6 of us.

The menu obviously changes regularly because I saw so many reviews for the Duck Calzone but it was not on the menu this time round. Hopefully it will return.

Such a pleasant atmosphere and relaxed setting but the stools were a little uncomfortable.

The staff are exceptional.

Fantastic! The tapas steal the show, each dish is as amazing as the next, although the baked gnocchi for me was the winner. Fantastic service, great wine list, and if you make it as far as pizzas they are amazing too. Overall a top notch experience and cant recommend highly enough, can’t wait to come back

The gnocchi (while small) was divine and we even reserved the sauce to dip our pizza in.
Pizza is thinner and crispier than most, and the flavour is perfect. Wine list is great! Highly recommend, venue is quite tight however.

I went here on Monday public holiday with my 3 friends. We can tell, this is the best pizza we’ve ever tasted! Love the scallops pizza was our top best one, the Prosciutto pizza also unbelievable. Service, they were so busy but still delivered you such a great and friendly service. Thank you for your lovely hospitality 😘👌🏻

Firstly, this was the best dining experience I have ever had.
The food was outstanding and breathtaking. Simply wow.
Ordered the scallop pizza, green beans and pâté tapas. The food was out of this world amazing with so much flavour and quality.
The service was of a 6 star quality. The girls were super friendly and helpful with helping with suggestions. You could really tell they love their job and I felt the passion.
A big well done to them. They rock and make the place a warmer place.
I can’t recommend this restaurant enough and it’s a must for everyone to dine here. The chefs know what quality is and it shows.
This is a gem of Hyde Park for sure.
This place deserves the award for best restaurant in Australia and possibly the world.
Will be back.

came in for a birthday dinner and was waited by a blonde lady, the best customer service i've experienced. was so helpful and knew exactly what she was doing.

Excellent pizza and tapas menu. Vegan options and beautiful food. It's pricey but quality is worth it. Pleasant table service. Booking ahead highly recommended, if not essential.

Use to be my go to when I worked this side of town. The pepperoni pizza and fried halloumi were definitely my number ones, the tappas are devine also. Justin is very accommodating I will go above and beyond takes pride in his business it shows

Impromptu dinner plans had us hunting for a dining destination on a Monday, a night when usually all the hot spots are closed.

But after a quick phone call to some fellow foodie friends who lived nearby, we were pointed in the direction of Melt.
First thing to note, when a restaurant is fully booked on a Monday they must be doing something right.

The menu was split into Tapas & Pizza, but as this was a quick drive-by meal we just opted for a quick pizza.

We chose the Albondigas (with Spanish meatballs) & the Jamon (with Rocket and Parmesan). The toppings were top end; no dodgey dollar saving ingredients here kids.
The gluten free base was also great and carried our toppings gracefully.

Can't wait to come back to get our 'tapas' on.

Our local go to for sensational sharing style tapas plates and a decent wine list. The lamb hummus is always on the menu and for good reason, it is delicious. The chicken wings will challenge chilli lovers but the haloumi with red pinion will make it all better. The pizzas are good but the tapas is the winner for us. We always sit at the bar.

There is customer service and then there is customer care. We dined at Melt this week and my mother who has a heart condition was feeling faint. Justin and the team were empathetic and helpful.

We go there because we love the food, and now we love the staff as well!

My wife and I went out last minute yesterday for a spontaneous dinner. Staff here were so accomodating in finding a seat for us in what was a packed restaurant. The food was great but what really stuck out was the fantastic service here - can’t speak highly enough of the team that took care of us (I’m so sorry I didn’t catch any names!). Will definitely be back.

Our local and a fave! Consistently good service and great food and a solid wine list. Always busy, always accomodating, can’t go wrong here! Don’t go past their extensive list of Tapas…they are amazing, along with their delish pizzas you won’t go hungry!

This King William Rod stalwart has proved itself over the years. Fresh modern styled pizza with plenty of rocket and earthy wines make this place the go to pizza restaurant on the strip. Stop in for a glass of Montepulciano before the movies. A shout out to the Manager/owner who graciously offered us a table when I mistakenly booked the sister restaurant. These people go above and beyond.

Had a great Sunday lunch here. Really impressed. Service was amazing as was the food and wine and well priced. Will be a return customer
