Hotel Central Riverton

Amazing food, although they only serve 2hrs for lunch and 2hrs for dinner but the food is absolutely delicious! Price is on the slightly high side for a country town hotel but standard for pub meals these days considering the cost of everything. Will definitely need to drive out there again when I'm craving the pulled lamb sliders or quality Schnitzels.

Absolutely fantastic. My wife and I had a great meal on Saturday night. Atmosphere was perfect with log fires. Steak sandwich was huge and tasty, chips which were like wedges were awesome. I had a favourite schnitzel with pepper sauce and chips and salad - cooked to perfection and great size. Wine choices were excellent and great value (not over the top as other places charge). We topped it off with a couple of affogatos coffee with Frangelico - yum. Congratulations to the owners and staff. Highly recommended.

Excellent service from family run Hotel. They let us take the Dog out the back in secured Beer garden and gave him a drink bowl. The Oysters were fresh and delicious. The best was the Mixed grill (didn’t have tea that night). Overall a great experience.

The meals are beautiful, not just pub food.delicate beautiful dishes, check out their menu .you have to go there & try it.src is excellent & friendly. Well done .

We have been taking short breaks in Auburn regularly for years and always been disappointed with the pub dining options up until now... just by chance, a local told us to try the HCR... we were keen! OMG... we just found our new home away from home local!! It was Tuesday... so “Schnitzel Night”... perfect.

Now... I judge all pubs on the basics... if they can’t cook a schnitzel or a steak right, I won’t return... maybe a bit harsh but it’s a simple rule I live by!

I ordered the Chicken with Pepper Sauce, wife ordered the Pork with Mushroom Sauce... I ave to say it was the best Schnitzels we have had in years... we were amazed! More than that... side salad was great... chips were fantastic and both sauces were beautiful ant the staff were super friendly as well.

Thank you Hotel Central Team... we can’t wait to return soon and try the Steak!

Schezwan duck was beautiful. So was the flathead, fresh , lovely batter.be back sooner than later.you have to come here. Well worth the drive.

Great basic pub rooms.meals and service absolutely fantastic. Staff really helpful and courteous.

We hosted a large group of people here for a special birthday and can not fault the service we experienced from the time of making the booking to the completion of the party. All staff and management were wonderful, very accommodating with drinks, plus had a great choice of wonderful food. Made the whole experience unforgettable - well done to the Central Hotel.

The meals were great, my chicken burger was one of the best that I have ever had, it was moist and flavoursome. My wife's steak was perfect. We would highly recommend eating here.

What a lovely hotel, recently renovated leaving old charm with a new dining area added to compliment the building.
Booked a table to celebrate a family members 70th birthday and from the initial greeting to having our meals delivered, the experience was outstanding. We enjoyed the steak, salmon and schnitzel, very generous servings.
Even better was the fact that the tables were spaced so that we could enjoy our conversation without being too close to other diners.
The staff allowed us to bring in a balloon table decoration and birthday cake, kindly accomodating us with plates and knife as well. Nothing was too much trouble.

Being Riverton locals the Central Hotel is our go to place for dinner out. We have always enjoyed eating there.
Last week we went for dinner in the run up to Christmas. I had the lamb rump and hubby had the pork belly. They were both really tasty meals, cooked nicely and very generous portions. It was the best meal I had had there and we have had many enjoyable meals there previously. We would have liked to have dessert but the mains are so filling!
The staff are always friendly, approachable and helpful.

Great local pub that delivers on service and exceptional food. Had a great family lunch. Highly recommend this pub and will visit again. Kid friendly and a short drive from Adelaide.

Superb menu..the steak is awesome, tender and the sides are amazing

Food is absolutely amazing! Every meal I have had has been a taste sensation! Wonderfully friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Newly renovated, it provides a warm, inviting place to share in a chat, a drink and amazing food. Well worth the trip! Very lucky and extremely happy to be able to call this our local!

This pub is an absolute gem. We had the BBQ Chicken Pizza and the Pulled Pork Tacos and they were awesome. We will back next week to try something else.

Excellent place. Stopped in for lunch on our way to Adelaide and all 6 meals were very much enjoyed. Friendly staff, meals came out quickly, reasonably priced and a beautiful building to take a look around. They were kind enough to let us take a look upstairs and the accomodation rooms were pleasantly decorated with lots of character throughout the hotel. Would definitely recommend as a place to stop.

Stopped for lunch and found it to be warm and inviting. The menu is quite diverse and food good. Happy to give 5 stars but I will say that I was a bit disappointed not to receive any salad with salt/pepper squid and chips. Fish and chips the same. I admit that salad wasn't listed as part of the meal on the menu, but I assumed based on the fact that I've never once experienced otherwise at any pub. Fried chips, squid, and aioli needs to be offset by a salad, even as a clearly written optional extra on the menu. Salad was part of other dishes, so it didn't seem a cost cutting issue. I should have taken the meal ingredients at face value rather than make an assumption, so I can't really fault the pub entirely. That said, still a great experience and worth your time if you're in the area and want a good feed in a clean and friendly dining room!

Had an amazing pulled pork burger with delicious, chunky, crispy chips. Service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back.
