Established in October 2018, The Golden Wattle is a wink-and-nod to inclusivity, with a large open plan kitchen that serves up comforting pub classics alongside inventive creations.

Ambience is bright, spacious, and comfortable. Groups flow in and out, perching around communal areas, chatter buzzing in the air.

Service is welcoming and friendly, though queues to order are a bit disorganised. Staff engage in friendly jovial banter, display some product knowledge, and clean up efficiently.

Food is Modern Australian pub classics inspired by British English cuisine, as well as in-house experimental creations. Quality is consistently good, and ingredients are fresh. Portions are large for individuals. Prices are comparable to elsewhere, budget about AUD $35 per person.

A popular childhood snack, the Fritz And Sauce (AUD $7) is on the menu as a nostalgic order for some. This sandwich has a fluffy soft tender texture with bready vegetal sour sweet meaty savoury flavour, with the fritz being a minced pork luncheon spam slab. Extra luscious with the heavy use of butter.

The Fish And Chips (AUD $26) here features a boneless battered King George Whiting fish fillet, golden and crisp crunchy outside, flaky tender oily soft inside, with pleasant sweet salty savoury flavour. A dash of lemon juice lends a zingy zesty tangy sour flavour, contrasting the richness.

Served with a fresh crisp mesclun salad (lettuce, baby spinach, mizuna, radicchio, rocket leaves / arugula) with bright vegetal bitter herbal earthy sweet flavour, and fluffy crisp medium-sized potato fries / chips with starchy salty sweet savoury flavour.

The golden wattle had a funky atmosphere and enjoyed the place, the staff where friendly, helpful and gave great service all in all I'd definitely go there again next time I'm down from Sydney

Great honest style hotel. Good bar facilities and eating areas inside and out. Great menu with tasty good size meals. Staff very friendly and happy and not afraid of having a chat. Thoroughly recommend.

Possibly the best pub burger I've ever had. My friend was also very impressed with the steak. There was a nice selection of drinks, the service was good, and the atmosphere relaxing. This place is definitely a winner!

The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy. It's definitely a must try!

Chicken parmi , Chips And salad was exactly
What I needed . The parmi sauce was extremely good and the chicken was cooked really well and the inside was still soft.

Staff are absolutely amazing. Genuine smiles all round. The location is really good and parking wasn’t hard to find. I ordered Chicken Kiev balls (all day menu) with a side of lemon. If you like Chicken Kiev and mini things. That’s your go too!! Wine menu is really good and extensive. I ordered the Wattle Shiraz. Delicious 🤤 . The upstairs area is sooooo chill also. I was able to sit up there without the hustle and bustle downstairs. (Mostly because I came at around 3pm so it was quite busy). Can honesty say I loveeeeee The Golden Wattle and I shall return. I also noticed the vegetarian section on the menu is very accomodating :)

Always packed with a big crowd of people. This place located in the heart of Adelaide city is one of the places you have to go for a some drinks and food. The food is delicious and quantitative. A beer with steak is lovely. Make sure to take a sip and bite while around there.

This spot has gone through several dining iterations and now that it's The Golden Wattle it is delivering great pub food and great service. It is consistently good. The go to dish is the schnitzel but everything is solid. Great value.

Wood Oven Roasted Portuguese Chicken is must try here. Good Selection of drinks and with amazing friendly staff

Great place to for dinner after a candlelight Queen experience at the Meeting Hall, all part of my birthday week celebrations.

Generous serves, prompt service, good food. Best pub in the CBD.

The customer service provided by Josh was phenomenal! He went out of his way to make us comfortable and make adjustments to suit our needs. The environment was lively with great bands playing inside and heaters outside. Definitely a great place to have a drink with a few friends!

Best pub i have ever been to. Best food in the city imo, delicious, reasonably priced, great range for pub menu, amazing schnitzel. amazing friendly staff, great atmosphere, i will for sure be back and then some!

Had the wattle burger, was great. Tasted like a high quality whopper.

Very roomy venue, with so many options for seating. Didn't try the food but the service was lovely and welcoming when ordering beverages. Plans to go again and take my partner for a date.

Service 10/10 the staff were so friendly and hospitable. Ordered the chicken burger and chips with a schooner for $24. Good value and good size burger and chips. Will definitely come back.

Went to The Golden Wattle's 5th birthday. Had a great night. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Great outdoor seating. Clean amenities.
