Great place for a quick lunch in the city. The “bar” on the ground floor is a pleasant, light area with the very high ceilings and huge windows of a bygone era.

Food was much better than we expected. Service with a smile was polite, friendly and helpful.

Impressed with the beef burger which was slightly pink in the centre as befits a gourmet burger and juicy, but without juices leaking messily everywhere. Fried chicken and chips were superbly deep fried leaving not a speck of oil on the greaseproof paper lining the serving basket.

We had our surprise wedding at this venue on 25.03.2023.
Leading up to our special event, Stephen was fantastic with communication, information and fast responses.
Stephen listened to our needs and also gave suggestions on what would work for our event.

We chose canape's and a table spread as sit down was too formal for what we wanted.

On the night everything was set up, organised and clean.
All our guests feedback was that the food was delicious and fresh.

All waitresses were polite and made the rounds of the room to ensure all guests were fed.

We had one room where the DJ/celebrant was and then utilised the other room as a quiet room with a slide show of the bride and groom and light music for those who needed a moment or parents settling young children.

We thoroughly enjoyed our event here, lift up to the 2nd floor, balconies to use and everything ran smoothly.

Thankyou Stephen and his team for creating a memory of our surprise wedding that we will cherish forever.

Lovely large open dinning area with open kitchen and reception. Would recommend the omakase for first time customers. We had a lovely anniversary dinner with a quiet evening that ramped up as the night moved on. The waiters were elegant and very helpful, with the manager always looking out for anything any tablet needed. Definitely a return customer. Look out for the fork specials for a bargain!

Great vibe and delicious meal. Had a lunch meeting there and it was fantastic. If you don’t like day drinking, lovely mocktails are available too.

Very friendly people. Food is food nice. We ordered the cauliflower salad and it was packed with flavour. The chips are crunchy and perfect in the middle.

Really tasty vegan options and amazing, helpful staff. I cannot recommend the vegetable tempura enough. The decor is amazing and great atmosphere.

Service was beyond excellent. The waiters were friendly and kindly answer the questions about the menu and made excellent suggestions. The food was delicious. We order a few dishes and all were excellent and good portion to share. Dessert was my least favorite. We order fried ice cream and this one was lacking the crunch and the sweet dressing on top, the fary floss was a different touch but not enough to make it great. Not bad but have tasted others that are much better.

It's a beautiful boutique hotel in the town. Situated in the heart of the city on the king William road. Staff is friendly and helpful. Beautiful ambiance of the bar and restaurant. Clean and tidy. Visited for an event organised by my uni. Was an awesome event. I was early and was provided complimentary coffee which was very helpful. Balcony on the floor had a beautiful view.

Great bar and service on Wednesday they have half price Gin

Ordered the chicken curry at lunch and thought it was great! The prices were more than reasonable and I had no complaints about the service, although we didn't need tending to. I would dine there again with no hesitation.

Saw in the hottest day in this bar with a group of professionals. 46c and we had an absolutely fantastic time.

Great atmosphere and the renovation of the building is nothing short of stunning. Wide range of drinks and well priced. Wasn't my first visit and definitely won't be my last

Pleasantly furnished, clean, spacious. I had a glass of wine which was priced well and served with a smile. Bathrooms are clean. As an update, they have 1/2 gin on Wednesdays - to enjoy with friends!

We had an excellent meal with friends here. The food was supreme, with interesting and creative options, and the wine was great. We were fortunate that it was a fairly quiet night, and so it was not very loud or cramped. I'd be happy to eat here again, definitely 😁

What a magnificent building. Great heritage with modern extensions.

The atmosphere is really good. The staffs are friendly and good service. The environment is clean. The food was awesome, especially the steak, the chef cooked it perfectly. (need more jus on it or ask for extra jus)
