Students are offered a vast range of choices in both academic pursuits and extra-curricular activities. The College is proud of the wonderful opportunities open to students in the areas of, Music, Outdoor Education, the Camps program, Sporting events and many other extra-curricular pursuits.
Lowanna is the largest single campus College in the Latrobe Valley with a student population of approximately 1100. Established in 1994, the college is located in Newborough and draws its enrolments from Moe/Newborough, district townships of Yallourn North, Erica, Rawson, Willow Grove and the surrounding rural areas.

i go to this school and i could move if i wanted to but once you get to know the teachers and people there is not that bad i guess

I go to Lowanna College and the school is okay but has way better with lots of great opportunities for students

Lowanna is a great school, its size enables students to be apart of curricular activities of all kinds. But it is not too large for the students to feel left out and overlooked. I can say from my personal experience as being a Lowanna student for three and going into my fourth year that you can really get a connection with most teachers and they will cater to each students needs. You can talk to most teachers about anything that is Troubling you. There is only one thing that I have not been to keen on. The uniform: some staff members hold that to higher regard than education and to me that's wrong. So I give my great place of education four out of five stars.

This school really needs to look at who it accepts, some would be better not even being considered, as to improve your reputation, the grounds also need leveling out, unsafe, and holes can lead to rolled ankles

Lowanna is an average school but it could be better if lowanna got rid of them stupid fkn old teachers and got new younger ones in, because the young teachers love to always joke around but the old ones you cant do anything.
