La Louisiane

Charming busy delightful restaurant/bar. We had dinner and drinks here while being entertained by jazz music. Our wait staff were amazingly attentive, providing us with impeccable service. Our drinks came with theatrical balance - diy martini!! We of course had their signature burger. We have tried many burgers in Adelaide and this one had a chunky beef patty, melted cheese, pickles everything you need for taste, and enjoyment. I had the cod and mullet bouillabaisse dish. Very smooth very nice rich and delicious. Book ahead. It's a wonderful way to spend an evening.

This was one of the best dinner experiences of my life. Everything was top notch: the atmosphere, the food, the service and the music. Anaïs delivered an outstanding service and I deeply appreciate that she found a table for us in front of the music duo after we finished eating our dinner. Such experiences are very difficult to match! We spent 4 hours in the venue and time flew as if we were in another dimension. Thank you so much! I could not recommend it enough.

Food was really good! We weren’t expecting much, but the steak was honestly cooked really well - i dont know what the difference was but it tasted very different to other steak I’ve had. The burger was also yummy! Fries were also really nice, a bit saltier than I thought but it wasn’t extreme!

Didn’t like the cocktail as much as the food. A bit pricey for the cocktail and wasn’t the greatest combination.

Would come back to try other things!

Walk in a nice dark like romantic place a lot of talking with the music in the back ground.
The steak and burger are a 5 the burger juicey with beautiful flavours. The steak cooked to medium well mouth watering taste. Fries actually good, to finish the creme brulee lick that bowl clean.

A destination experience; a must try French gem. Service - impeccable, selection of drinks - perfect. Steak frites - perfect, dessert - perfect, atmosphere - relaxed and stylish. This was a faultless experience - I would give the service 6 stars if possible

La Louisiane is for real a hidden gem. I love everything here. The food was absolutely delicious and was satisfied by my pure French friends which is a good indication of the authenticity in the foods they offer at this restaurant. Service was an absolute 10/10. I loved the way how the waiter always checking on us to see how we went with the food as well as refilling our drinks. Atmosphere must be the most unique atmosphere I’ve ever experienced as there was a band playing music which made the night very enjoyable. We didn’t have a chance to try out the desserts but it would be awesome if we did. However, we will definitely come back with some other friends. I highly recommend La Louisiane to everyone who’s never been here before. It’s worth it!

visit la louisiane while you still can!! perfect spot for date night and conveniently located. love the live music and the food was amazing. hope the pop-up will revisit in the future. one of the best (if not the best) french restaurants i have visited. the steak was next level and the crème brûlée was perfect to finish with :)

What was once a sports bar is now a lovely intimate space. Very moody atmosphere with awesome staff. We had seamless service all through our meal. Perfect for a late night cocktail and supper. Pity that it's temporary and keen to return.

This place is a hidden city gem.
The French restaurant is nicely decorated and it's live music and singing here. It's a cozy and relaxed place to dine in.
It has plenty of choices for alcohol such as cocktails, wines, spirits, and non alcohol drink.
The foods are fantastic and beautiful cooked. Even though it's a bit pricey, It's what you paid and what you got.

We had cocktail French 75 for our drink. It's very refreshing.
We ordered beef tartar and baguette from entrees and steak frite for our main course with a side dish of buttered green vegetables.
The food was so good, especially the steak frites that melted in our mouths with the fresh and sweetness of the meat and the special sauce.

Amazing experience, as soon as you walk through the doors you’re transported to a Paris bistro. Food authentic and absolutely delicious. Service was excellent, although there was a misunderstanding with ordering it was quickly rectified and even provided with a free shot. Will definitely be back!

The greatest place in Adelaide. I’ve been here a few times.. the customer service is amazing and personal. The food is heaven. The staff are professional and know what they are talking about and the venue is beautiful and romantic. Could not recommend enough.

Wow! Just dined with 3 friends and we were blown away. Incredible mood, food, service and atmosphere, made even more special by the addition of the live Jazz. Steak Frites and Escargot were magnificent - we will be back soon 👏🏽👏🏽

My partner and I snuck in just before close to this super trendy, candle lit bar.

We ordered 2 cocktails each and can say that each cocktail was an incredible pleasure to experience!

The lady who served us went above and beyond to explain in great detail each ingredient and described the way the flavours interacted, she did so with a genuine passion that really added depth to both the cocktails we were drinking and the experience as a whole.

Do yourself a favour and experience it for yourself.

Clearly a hidden, if not subterranean, den of inequity. A late night drop in en route accommodation... bar staff were friendly and delightful, but not particularly busy on Wednesday. Gorgeous music, dull mood lighting, beautiful architecture, and design. Highly recommended for a bottle or two.

Amazing cocktails, amazing atmosphere, superb attention to detail, and absolutely classy. The music, candles, chandeliers. Very beautiful. Feels like Picasso could walk through the door at any minute. The sexiest bar in the whole city. I’ll be back.

We recently held a team dinner at La Louisianne, and it was truly an outstanding experience!

Pierre, the manager, consistently demonstrates warmth and a remarkable ability to recall faces. Personally, I have frequented La Louisianne several times, and Pierre never fails to remember me.

Our group of 10 indulged in a variety of dishes from the menu, but the standout was undeniably the T-Bone Wagyu. It was prepared flawlessly and cooked to perfection. An unforgettable highlight was the accompanying snails, which were served with gin shots in the shells—an exquisite and memorable touch. The beef tartare, with its assortment of pickles, was also exceptional.

However, the gnocchi and clams were somewhat underwhelming. While the sauce accompanying the clams was delightful, the clams themselves were overly fishy. Additionally, the gnocchi had a texture more akin to fried potato or pumpkin, rather than the expected fluffy pasta.

The service, on the other hand, was exceptional. Although we encountered a minor issue with stale bread, the gracious server promptly rectified the situation upon being informed.

The servers were attentive, eager to assist, and consistently friendly, regularly checking in on us throughout the evening.

Overall, my experience was nothing short of amazing, and I wholeheartedly recommend La Louisianne to my peers.
