Such picturesque and peaceful surroundings!
The experience starts with being greeted be the family dog, Alfie who greets everyone as they open the car door and then proceeds to lead the way into the cellar door.
The wine sommelier is very knowledgeable about wines and interesting in his conversation, with just the right attentiveness.
I really liked the sparkling and we bought a bottle to take home.

A rare find. A winery that does not charge for tastings! A beautiful location with a friendly and knowledgeable host and a bonus labrador named ALFIE to make it feel so relaxed and inviting. Delicious tasting wine. A light and comfortable place to relax. Thanks!

We had a lovely visit here - Bryan the owner was a great host and shared some history, wine knowledge and good chats. Alfie their puppy was a delight 🐶 Their rose was delicious - brought back a few cases from here 👌

Beautifull cellar door very airy and light, welcoming people who don't mind a chat. Family owned with a good range from light to full bodied. The 2013 reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is definetly the stand out.

Great wine, Pinot noir rose is especially good. Cabsav is also very nice. Great service. Will definitely be back

Lovely wine, beautiful people. With so many Cellar Doors to choose from, where do you go…….. the small family owned ones. We walk-in and were greatly by Alfie the gorgeous Lab and from there on it only gets better. Brian is a great host as we enjoyed every tasting he poured. We ultimately settled on 6 bottles which Brian very generously dropped back to our accommodation in town. We would definitely return Whistlepost is a great stop to spend an hour or two. Great service Brian. Thank you. We shall return

It was beautiful wine tasting experience nestled between the vineyards, yet close to the main highway. It is a family owned winery and was nice to be served by the owner. Brian was friendly and very informative and makes you feel very welcome. Highly recommend it

Locally owned with great wines and beautiful surroundings - I recommend the Rose and Reserve Cab Sav, stocked up for coming back to Melbourne. Brian also makes the best coffee (Padre) in Coonawara!

A great afternoon, beautiful spot to stop and enjoy a glass. Rosè was on point, Angus was very knowledgeable and offered the upmost in hospitality. It is clear the company is committed all the way from the 'grower to the glass'. 10/10 would recommend.

Great wines and hospitality. On a side, if they suggest to go to Mt Burr for lunch definetely do it.
