Star of Siam

Had our valentine date💝 here. Enjoyed our meal. We ordered just enough portion of two. Food well prepared. Nice and attentive staff. After 10 years leaving in Adelaide, we always passing by. Now we finally had the chance to see how can they stay so long 😉

I've been to the Star of Siam a couple of times for a family lunch in the last few months. It's in a very convenient location across from the Cemtral Market. Both times we have been greeted and seated promptly with a cheerful attitude from the hostess. It's clear they're used to getting meals out quickly for the office lunch time crowd.
I had Pad Thai the first time (pic attached), which was delicious with a nice wok char to the dish. More recently I had Pad Snow Pea with the squid option. Again, a delicious dish.
There's a good number of wines by the glass plus beers, soft drinks etc.
I love Thai food and look forward to trying more of the menu in the future!

Some of the best service I have received and yummy food. The service staff are very friendly attentive. I've never seen such a quick kitchen. I was travelling solo for work and I didn't feel awkward sitting by myself at the table.

We came here for a 70th birthday celebration after reading reviews, and it could not have been more perfect. The floor team, the food…everything was so so good. We’ve found our new favourite restaurant. Thank you to all the team working at the restaurant tonight. It was really special. ❤

Great place, great food, great service. We were well taken care of, it wasn't a busy place as expected on Wednesday and just after the lockdown. The waitress was greatly helpful in informing us of what's available to order and what each item was like. My mum had a great time there for her birthday.

My favourite Thai restaurant. Have been eating here for years, the food is always fresh and delicious. Other places I’ve tried, including different cuisines, have been hit and miss. Possibly different chefs on different days? But here, the dishes I order taste the same every time. Friendly service too, which goes a long way.

Came here for dinner several times, love their food so much, everything we ordered were so delicious, green curry and charcoal pork were our favorite, other dishes didn’t disappoint too. By the way, the cocktail here were not bad, the price of everything is reasonable

Probably the best Thai restaurant in town.The restaurant is located on one if the busiest streets in the city. Warm reception and very quick and friendly service. Good choices of Thai food and nice verity of the drinks.
We ordered bbq squid, Pad-Thai and pan seared pork with rice. Out of the dishes the Pad-Thai was the best and cooked to perfection. The red wine was just absolutely fantastic pairing. The squid and pork were a bit dry but very fresh. Nice place to visit.

Lovely food and can’t complain about it. Friendly staff and excellent service. Timing between the starters and main can be improved.

Will get busy most time hence making a reservation is highly recommended. Hence it is busy, it can be bit nosy inside.

In my last visit, the AC was leaking and dripping water 💧 next to us. Wasn’t pleasant as you would imagine.

Went here for a work Christmas lunch. The staff are incredibly friendly and the prices are very decent. I got the vegan drunken noodles of off the lunch menu and my friend got the vegan pad thai of off the al carte menu. The food was amazing, and everyone at the table was very happy with their lunches.

All dishes were authentic and taste amazing. Staffs are friendly and provided great services. Highly recommended, but recommend to make a reservation before go.

If I had to describe this place with one phrase - it would be a 'pop Thai' restaurant. The flavours presented were very pronounced and presented Thai dishes you normally enjoy with quick service.

The grilled squid with sauce was excellent. The acidity of the sauce complimented the flavour profile of the dry outside texture of the squid. 9/10.

The Gaeng phed ped yang (duck red curry) presented at this venue's flavours were prominent however the portion of meat left something to be desired - 7/10.

The Sea Star 'dumplings' were a personal favourite of mine, I loved the shape of the dumpling itself and the flavours of the sauce it was served with. 9.5/10

The pepper and garlic chilli pork was a classical dish that was flavoured superbly well. The flavours did not hold back as compared to other Thai restaurants I have encountered. The interpretation of this dish at this venue was a personal 10/10.

The fried coconut ice creams were priced reasonably and have been consistent in the multiple times I have eaten at this venue. 8/10.

Overall, this establishment has simply served good food consistently at a reasonable price. 9/10

Heaps of vegetarian options and everything we ordered was so delicious. Everybody was so happy and probably we will come back again and again. The best thai restaurant we had dine in so far here in Adelaide. We were 10Pax.

I am hoping that staff will be more polite and accomodating. The one who served us was a bit strict.

Excellent service by the staff. Food was delicious. Vegetarian options available too. Loved the sticky rice with mango Dessert. The food was fresh and authentic. Thai food with Aussie twist. Desserts coffee drinks all available too. My friends enjoyed the meal. Good for larger groups so you can share the dishes.

Great restaurant. Came here for our anniversary and because my partner lives Thai. Yummy food and friendly and efficient service. We'll definitely be back.

If you are looking for an elegant place to grab lunch during the week then this is the one to choose.

Their menu is great across the board.

Whether you desire Laksa, Drunken Noodles or one of their many rice dishes you are bound to be extremely happy with the result.

Having gone there for so many years and never had a bad meal.

I wonder if there is a restaurant that delivers such consistency in their food day in day out. We all love the staff there too.

Jazzy is always first with a warm greeting and making you feel at home.

The service at Star of Siam is so exceptional in a city known for poor service. Food really fresh and every dish we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend grabbing some soft shell crab for entree!

Great soft shell crab. Snapper entree a pleasant surprise! Staff took the time to answer all questions & make recommendations. They also served each dish with a warm friendly touch. Turn around on our entrees was within 5 mins at dinner time on a Saturday night! Will visit again.
