HEATHCOTE II

Had purchased a Shiraz of theirs previously from Seddon Wine Store and was really impressed, so a visit was top of the list when we were staying in the area.
We were the first visitors of the day, and were greeted by Lionel as we pulled into the carpark. The exemplary service continued throughout our visit. Lionel patiently answered our questions (we had many!) and we learnt a lot about his grape growing methodology.
The wines all tasted amazing - we ended up purchasing almost one of every type.
Will definitely be back, perhaps to stay in one of their newly built accommodation units overlooking the vineyards.
Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

Lovely winery with beautiful cellar door and courtyard. Very accommodating for us with our dogs. Great quality wines at very reasonable prices. Enormous variety and clearly know their wines.

Our favourite winery to visit in Heathcote! Lionel and Peder provide absolutely fantastic customer service, delicious wines and beautiful views. Tastings of a rose and several reds are available and you can book accommodation at the winery. We've visited 6 or 7 times now and every family member or friend we take absolutely loves their experience. Highly recommend - we'll be back in June for the next release!

I always enjoy visiting Heathcote II. The cellar door experience is always personable and the wines never disappoint

My husband and I have stayed at Heathcote II on four separate occasions and we absolutely love it. Located in the hills of Toolleen the view is second to none, the Cellars are beautifully decorated and are so quiet and relaxing. The property feels like it could easily be in the Tuscan countryside. Lionel and Peder are friendly and gracious hosts, the selection of wine and spirits is superb and the produce provided for breakfast is delicious. I love coming here, it is so relaxing, I instantly feel a sense of calm. And Heathcote II's wine is fantastic. If you're looking for a weekend getaway Heathcote II is the perfect place and it's only a two hour drive from Melbourne.

Instant relaxation!

We have been buying the boys' excellent wines for a couple of years now. This time we stayed for two nights in one of their four villas and would have stayed for more if it were possible.

Peder and Lionel are such warm and kind hosts.
The villa was super clean!
You know that joy of walking around on clean timber floors in bare feet?
The villa smelled subtly of timber too which makes a nice change from the very popular and sickly synthetic fragrances in lots of places these days..
Lovely comfy bed and linens.
Good hot water and pressure.
Very thoughtful, yet functional and uncluttered furnishings.
And wonderful to have a curated wine collection at our disposal.

We could hear our neighbours with friends on their balcony one night, but not when inside at bedtime and we slept with the doors fully open to view
the amazing stars and it felt very private.

The apricot jam was a real treat.

Heathcote II was an amazing experience. Peder was a very gracious and knowledgeable host at the cellar door, his and Lionel's wines are delightful and the villas are stunning.

Love love LOVE this boutique winery. My partner and I had the privilege of visiting on a warm Monday afternoon. The owners are so friendly and took time to explain through all the wines. SPANISH wine fanatics will be please to know, Heathcote II have some great rivals to home soil.

Stunning very recently newly completed cellar door extension. Inside I encountered a warm and excellent host in winemaker Peder whose passion and knowledge of wine is obvious from the moment you first meet him. Absolutely sensational wines resulting from the attention to detail that Peder takes in producing the wine. An absolute delight and I can see why his neighbours all speak very highly of him. Visit and you won't be disappointed!

The cellars and location is absolutely gorgeous and the wine is delicious. I am already mourning that I can not get a hold of the wine in my home country. (+ the owners are so so kind).

Absolutely amazing!!!!! The attention to detail put into this gorgeous accomodation and property was breathtaking, the rolling views and location are one of a kind. We were blown away. The cabins are incredible and the owner/winemaker Peder was a fabulous host. We cannot wait to return and for longer. We arrived and were welcomed warmly by the lads. We tried some delicious wine then were offered the chance to see the press in action. The passion and attention to detail was impressive. The accom looks fantastic so planning a weekend there in winter. Can't wait!

Great service and food. The building and courtyard are great! The owners were very polite and happy to to talk about the history of the vineyard. Would recommend a visit over the busier vineyards.

Magnificent getaway retreat. It’s a good base camp from which to explore the region. Everything is done to a very high standard. I dare you to resist the in room wine cellar! Can’t wait to stay again.
