Very friendly easy to deal with even when you find out one of your dogs likes to climb fences to socialise. Both boys came home happy and healthy. Would definitely use Jane again on our next holiday.

Jane did a fabulous job of looking after our little Jack Russell. We were a little tentative at first as we had never used a kennel before however Jane ( obviously being very much a dog person ) put our minds at ease with her expertise and obvious love of dogs.
Our dog came back happy and healthy.

Exceptional service from start to finish. Have put our dog in a few times and have already booked in for next Christmas. We have a Portuguese Water Dog and Jane is extremely knowledgeable with our dog and all other breeds. Jane went the extra mile and even organised swims for our dog. Top notch facility. Have had friends board their dogs their and they were the ones who recommended Jane to us, so happy! Have recommended Jane to a few friends and they are extremely impressed and happy to leave their fur babies in her care.

This place is absolute gold!! Definitely need a higher score than 5 stars here. I have never before been to a place that loves my dogs as much as I do (and that is heaps). It's not just a business, but a lover of animals. Quality facilities and quality service. Never have to worry about my pets when I go on holidays again!! Toolleen Country Retreat came recommended to us by our vet as the best kennel in the area for lodging our dog and we have been delighted with the service provided. Owner Jane is obviously a keen animal lover with a great understanding of dogs in particular - their natures, both individually and in a group. We found the facility well appointed, well maintained, well staffed and, most importantly, clean (we toured several other facilities in the area that you could smell a mile away - no sign of that here at all). Prices are reasonable and Jane posts Facebook photos of the dogs on a regular basis which is a nice touch - it's reassuring to see your pet enjoying their holiday whilst you are also enjoying yours.

Our dog had previously had issues being kennelled - he would drop considerable amounts of weight and return anxious and unsettled which would take a week or more to abate. He has had two visits now to Toolleen and has come back both times his normal self - no sign of anxiousness or distress of any kind. This speaks more to us than anything else about the quality of care provided there.

We would not hesitate to recommend Jane and her facility to anyone in the area looking for a safe and reliable place to confidently leave their animals whilst away.

I have had my two border collies stay, and they love it. when I pick them up they are pleased to see me but always run back to jane. I think that says a lot. They look lovely when I pick them up, happy and healthy. And I know they enjoy the swimming in the dam, like being at home. Well done jane, on a fantastic kennel. highly recommend it.
My cat also stays in the cat retreat and again I can't fault it. He is happy, and has been there for three months at a time when we are away. What more could a cat want, warm bed, fire in winter, air con in the summer, able to go in own sun area, colour TV, the works. The peace of mind knowing he is safe and well cared for it priceless.

One of the nicest kennel set ups I have ever seen. I worked in the boarding industry for many years & my standards are quite high. This place is amazing. It was clearly designed from the bottom up with the safety & comfort of the animals as the top priorities.

After feeling very guilty for leaving our Charlie for 4 weeks for our annual holidays, I am totally thrilled to have picked him up today ( not sure he was totally thrilled to sees us...ha ha ) Thanks to Jane & co for the fabulous care of our precious Lab. He has been in great hands & has come home a very happy and healthy boy. Absolutely thrilled we have found such a great place for him to be during our holidays & his eagerness to get through the gate upon our arrival was reassurance that he was happy to be back there for his second visit. I can't recommend Tooleen Country Retreat highly enough. My dog has been to this kennel many times and is always excited to return, in fact he can't wait to get out of the car. Jane is extremely knowledgeable and great to deal with. The facilities are second to none.

Great to have total peace of mind for our whippets when we go on holidays. They love visiting Tooleen and have a ball getting to run across paddocks and swim in the huge dam. Jane and co run a tip top facility. Highly recommend!

It is wonderful to be able to go away and know my dogs are in trusted hands. I have been using dog kennels for years and this would have to be the best. I would happily recommend to anyone. A true retreat for fur babies.

Fabulous facility. Owner operator has outstanding knowledge of both canine and feline requirements. The facilities offer wonderful feeding and exercise routines, swimming, social interaction and personalised needs for your boarding pet. Highly recommended.

Amazing place. Animals are extremely well looked after and the animals love playing in the dam. Staff are professional and go above and beyond to help you.
