We found this amazing place by chance. What fabulous hosts. The gin and wine are incredible. The hardest part is choosing which to buy. We had a tour of the actual distillery too. So friendly and genuine. Our hosts love their products and it is so easy to see why. Make you stop by and visit

Jenny and I had a wonderful day last Saturday at Domaine Asmara. Hennie and Andreas are wonderful, generous people both with their time and with sharing their knowledge and history of Domaine Asmara's wines. The wine tasting session was particularly generous with the number and serves of the wines presented. We also enjoyed a fabulous lunch on the veranda and then a tour of the winery and the new distillery. All in all, a great day. We will be back!

Andreas and his wife are such a lovely couple. The fact that you are going to a winery where the owners give you the wine tasting themselves, they are so kind to answer allpossible questions about their wine, plus they are award winning and they can prove it.

I lived in the Barossa Valley for 5 years, have spent time in the Yarra Valley and visited many wineries in my long life and I am 100% certain this is the best wine, gin and vodka I have tasted any where!! Hennie is amazing and gorgeous inside and out and Andreas is amazingly skilled at his craft!! Thank you Domaine Asmara I will continue to purchase your delightful wine every month as I have for the last 3!! Fruity, fragrent and incredibly worthy of every gold medal awarded to you!! Congratulations Domaine Asmara!!

This was a wonderful place to visit and is simply a must when visiting this region. The wines are amazing, the gins are fantastic, it really is that quintessential country winery experience that you drive out here for.

We had an amazing tasting and lunch here today thanks to the wonderful Henni. We were missing tastings after returning from 3 weeks in the Barossa and Mildura and Domaine Asmara certainly didn't disappoint. We weren't intending to buy any bottles as we bought so many on our travels but all the ones we tried were so good we ended up with 12 bottles! Best spring rolls i have ever had also. What a fantastic afternoon, can't wait to bring some friends next time. Shan ☺

Favourite winery, renowned for Shiraz but the whole tasting list of whites & reds is outstanding. A credit to you both Andreas & Henni

Top tier boutique winery featuring premium Heathcote styles from estate grown fruit. Their Shiraz is lovely, but the standout for me is their straight Cabernet Sauvignon. From experience, it cellars beautifully. Winemaker proprietors Andreas and Henni are charming hosts. Andreas is not afraid to experiment and his Durif and straw wine styles are a must-try.

We visited the cellar door to taste and purchase wine. A great experience and really good wine (even by Heathcote high standards) at quite reasonable prices. Fortified durif - worth going just for that! But the best part was the generous and very knowledgeable owner - highly recommend visiting.

Great little spot with lots of variety of nice wines. Really friendly service and provided a detailed overview from vines to the bottle. Give it a try if you are near Tooleen on the drive between Melbourne and Echuca.
