My now husband, Stephen has been visiting Tuki trout farm for over 20 years. When we asked Jan and Robert, if we could have our very small and intimate wedding of approximately 30 guests, we could not have wished for a more perfect and beautiful day at their venue with their hospitality, and amazing fresh farm food.

Robert and Jan went over and above to make sure that we had the most relaxed and fun wedding! If you asked us, what was the highlight of the day we would have to say it all was! The beautiful Gumtree on their property, where we were married, and where the ceremony took place was just exquisite! All our guests could sit down and participate in this ceremony.

The farm, and the beautiful panoramic view was so captivating for our photographs. All of our guests took so many Instagram worthy pics!

The DJ and was able to set up in the glassed restaurant area which became our dance floor!

Our guests ate a delicious meal inside the restaurant. It was so fresh, yummy and wholesome, enjoyed by all that there were little leftovers!

Robert and Jan were so hospitable, accommodating and versatile! Our guests had the most incredible experience from the moment they arrived to the moment they left!

Many of us stayed in the accommodation on their property for two nights, and were blown away with its beauty. We had the most incredible and overwhelmingly beautiful and very, very special, relaxed farm wedding.

We would heartily recommend Tuki trout farm under the guidance and care of Robert and Jan to anyone considering a venue for an intimate and beautiful wedding.

After winning a voucher to attend and use to either fish and have a meal or just use for a meal, we made our way down today. I have to be honest the food was honestly some of the best food I have ever had. Extremely flavoursome and for a person who is not a big fish person I can not rave more about how well the fish was cooked and how good it tasted. I will definitely make a effort to make out their again. Stay were fantastic and really enjoyed our experience.

Such an unassuming restaurant with very hospitable staff, friendly sleepy dogs by the fire and amazing generous food. Robert was so helpful, felt like having dinner with a friend.
Had the lamb ribs and trout croquettes as entree and what flavourful bites cooked to perfection. For mains, we had the trout and steak - such generous servings and cooked so beautifully in the fire (for the steak) and with a crispy skin and clean trout taste. Highly recommend!

Our family caught trout fish in just an hour. It was super easy. We requested to cook and eat them in the restaurant. Love the freshness accompanied by bake potatoes and buns. We had apple pie and chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert. Yum!!! We really enjoyed the food as well as the breathtaking scenery. Owners are friendly. Highly recommended!!!

From the pond to our plate! Even their vegetables Grown from their garden. A great place to spend you day trips with friends and families. The owner is friendly, and the staffs members were attentive as well. Recommended 👍 I will be back soon!

Nice place. Lots and lots of fun and lots and lots of flies.😂😂. Its great place to enjoy the whole day or stay for a weekend. 2 fishes with potato wedges around 100 bucks. Very friendly people and wonderful sights to enjoy.

An absolutely memorable experience. Robert is a fantastic host. Personable and full of knowledge. The trout and lamb were cooked to perfection. If you are lucky to go, tell them you'll have what "Sid" has.

The absolute highlight of our weekend trip to the region, and all it took was the platter!
Everything tasted incredibly fresh and homemade with high quality ingredients, and the service was warm and friendly with some excellent wine recommendations. A complete pleasure, we will be back in winter to try the lamb!

Best trout I have tried. Roast lamb is also as good as I have had.

I am no trout/fish expert. But, this trout was something to remember. It was sweet, oily, not "fishy", and vegetables were beautifully seasoned. We also had the lemon sponge, and coffee which I would have disappointed if I hadn't.

All ages enjoyed fishing for their lunch. The children (5 - 13yrs) were easily kept entertained catching the trout.

The scenery from the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the trout ponds, as well as field is worth the trip just for lunch, even if you don't fish. The large central wood fire inside gives a beautifully warm and appealing interior to enjoy a glass of wine.

The trout main course is about $38 (this also covered the entrance fee if you have lunch).

3rd time we’ve been to Tuki and it’s always fantastic. Fun catching your own trout. We also had the best lamb we’ve ever eaten.

Very reasonably priced for the amazing quality of the food. The hosts are wonderfully, friendly people and it’s a just the perfect place for a special occasion. Can’t wait to go back

We visited Tuki during the week after an impromptu drive in the area. What a magnificent experience. With the trout farm within the complex, you can catch your own trout, then eat it for lunch in the restaurant. Other menu items include lamb dishes using the lamb bred and butchered onsite (the owner is the farmer and butcher), or beef dishes using local beef. We elected the sharing platter. All very reasonably priced.

Service was friendly and efficient.

You can even buy lamb from the property and smoked trout.

The place is a must see and do experience. If not to catch your lunch, but enjoy the surroundings, fine food and wine, and impeccable service.

Amazing food and great experience!

Great place for the kids to come and catch a fish. A warm rustic feel in the restaurant with breathtaking vistas. Our catch was served by the owner/farmer...a blokes, bloke, whos no nonsense attitude gave you an insight to the challenges of rural lifestyle...a great chat and a great time had by all !!

Tuki keeps it simple, with a few selections of extremely high quality beef, lamb or fish (that you can catch yourself) cooked to perfection. The service is casual and friendly; proper country style in every way. The location is picturesque and gorgeous. The food is on the pricier end of the scale but it's well worth it my opinion.
