Thea is one of my favourite vegan friendly options for a delicious meal in the city.

Personally - it ticks all the boxes for me. The food is always outstanding, the service and staff are exceptionally delightful and friendly, and the feeling I get when I eat here is always calming and beautiful.

During the peak of lunch time, a beautiful man comes around and gives out little cups of special tea to the customers.

I'm grateful to have found this hidden gem.

I'm a carnivore but I'm a long time fan of Thea Tea Shop. It's plant based but still filling and flavoursome. It's one of the few places that I drink flavoured teas - the passionfruit one is my go to. Lots of variety on the menu.

Great customer service - the staff are super friendly! The only downside is that pretty much everything is deep fried, but this seems to be a common theme in many vegan/vegetarian dishes based on my experiences.

I ordered the Vegetarian BBQ Rice - I like that we are given the choice of salad or rice. I was happy with the salad and vegetables but the imitation BBQ pork was drenched in oil so I didn't want to eat it. Also ordered the iced mango tea but didn't expect it to be so sweet. The pricing of food is fair. The portions are quite large - the dish I ordered could have fed 2 people.

The little shop downstairs was really cool! There was a great collection of teas and tea sets, as well as a wide range of vegan/vegetarian snacks and ingredients. I would come again, but only just to buy tea leaves or something.

I was surprised with this set up, beyond the front takeaway coffee stand is a ambient eatery. They offer an Asian vegetarian / vegan ONLY Menu. As a meat lover, I am amazed at how flavoursome the (non meat) dishes are here. One of the best quality vegetarian places in Adelaide.
The drinks selection has a wonderful selection of specialty teas to try.
The staff are so polite here.

I hope they never ever stop making all this amazing food. I just moved back from living in NYC for a decade and it was the first place I went to (as it was every time I ever came back home for holidays).

THE. BEST.

Oh my god I love this place! The food is great, with vegan items clearly marked. I had the vegan chicken drumsticks, and fried hokkien noodles and I was stuffed!

Ordered a takeaway Almond milk tea and the server was friendly and clearly explained that is contained dairy (not an issue for me).

The drink was delicious and strongly tasted of almonds/marzipan!

A little oasis of vegan calm.

A restaurant with "sweet and sour thing" on the menu is obviously completely endearing.

The food is delicious, the service is friendly, the serves are generous, the prices are good.

Meat eaters need not be put off by the vegan thing. This is a very good lunch spot.

This is easily my favourite place in the CBD to eat, and has been for 20 years. Everyone who knows about this little gem raves on about it, because the food is absolutely amazing but also the staff are some of the most pleasant people I’ve ever met. I always feel enriched when I leave Thea Tea Shop, from the fantastic food and warm staff.

Healthy and vegetarian friendly, will try the noodle next time. We’ve ordered “marinated salad & veg” and “crispy hainan style salad & veg”. Highly recommended.

Thea's is always lovely service & delicious food in a charming atmosphere. Vegetarian & vegan options with some gluten free too.

Super healthy stuff with some vegan Dish that could make you feel that your are having chicken or meat.
I wasn't been told before that this is not chicken and I didn't come to know untill I was told. But their everyday special is must to try for the Tom yum soup and fish fillets is something that I love.
Also the barbeque rice. Along with that this was the place I tried the bubble tea.I would highly recommand peach mango drink

This is my favourite vegetarian place to eat - I've been coming for years and the food is ALWAYS great, the service is exceptional, and I love the Zen atmosphere. Plus, Japanese teas! What more can I say?
Do yourself a favour and check it out if you are vego or vegan, even caters for gf!

Really good food- lots of non vegos love it too. Quite oily, lots of mock meats and heaps of drinks like bubble tea. The basil nuggets are so delicious and crispy!

Thea tea shop is my absolute go to in the city, for yummy, wholesome vegan food. I have never had a bad meal here and always leave feeling full but light. The atmosphere is very peaceful as well. My favourite dishes are the crispy vegan Hainan, sweet and sour thing, Thea cold noodles and passionate fruit tea :)

Wow this is some of the most amazing food I have ever eaten 🤯. I’ve been working my way through the menu over the last month and still have a long way to go! Also they prepare it quickly, it’s affordable and it doesn’t contain any onion or garlic (which many people with fructan intolerance will appreciate). New favourite restaurant!

Grocery section is open on Saturdays until 3pm, good selections from Taiwan/Malaysia that is seldom seen elsewhere in Adelaide

I can't believe it took me so many years to visit here. Amazing vegetarian food and they do some crazy good things with protein.
