Barnawartha Star Hotel

Had dinner today at the Star Hotel with 5 friends and we ordered 6 different meals, all were sensational. Great service could not fault a thing. This venue has 2023 service and quality catering to everyone in our group, while maintaining its clearly rich history. The drink and meal prices were more than responsible. We visit this area regularly and on our next visit we will definitely be back to enjoy good country hospitality and value.

This place is awesome! The staff is so warm and nice make us feel like home~ and the room is quite clean as well’ and and I didn’t expect I would find my life shampoo in this motel as it is so good for my hair lol~We came here for the woolshed fall and this Motel is for sure a great place to have a short stay!

A big shout out to kat and Matt if I could give more then 5 stars I 100% would very friendly and relaxed place to stay clean rooms awesome food and locals are welcoming as well. Both went above and beyond for my 2 nights stay. I highly recommend. Hope no one ever takes you guys for granted. Will be staying again in the future 👍😄🎊👏

Thanks so much Kat and Matt for hosting our son’s birthday party after our original park plans got rained out. The large, toasty and private room for the munchkins to go wild for a couple of hours was perfect. We’re so appreciative of you accomodating our food and room needs at the last minute.

Just spent two hrs for lunch with a mature aged group for Xmas break up.
What a friendly place, food was to die for. Not one complaint. Attention to detail was fantastic, Trevor made us all so welcome. Second time here and will be back for sure. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience. Publican was very friendly and welcoming, showed us around the venue and shared in some of the history. Amazing selection of wines and great local, fresh food. Will definitely be back.

If you're in the area, this is the place to go for a delicious lunch or dinner! A lovely dining room warmed by wood burning fireplace. The staff are friendly and welcoming.. Will definitely be coming back!

Person from the bar server us fresh food even though was outside of kitchen hours and he presented us the hotel and garden.
Very genuine friendly person and the food was fantastic.
I recommend this place to eat instead of Mc Donald or other places to eat when travelling from Sydney to Melbourne.

Turned off the Hume Highway for a toilet stop. Then decided to see if we could find a counter lunch at the local pub. My goodness what a fantastic surprise. Personally hosted by Trevor. The selection of food and pairing of the wine together with the decor is worth traveling for. A BIG 10 out of 10!

Dinner 4th Jan 21 was wonderful, way above an average pub meal!
The beer garden was lovely to be in and the attention from Trevor and his staff was just right.
The wine selection was a great surprise and particularly the fact that they were ‘chemical free’ and so smooth to drink out of delightful glasses.
A memorable evening for us.

Had a delicious lunch here today. We had a steak sandwich and a burger. Both very tasty with really great chips. The publican was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Husband and I just had tea at the Star and it was lovely. Greeted at the door with smiles all round. Shown to a table in a grand sized room. Meal was hot and fresh and tasted great. Drinks nice and cold. Very pleased and will definitely be back. Thank you to all. 😁

Great pub, lovely service, and lunch meals were great.

Very impressed. I was there with a group of 45 people. They served up a really tasty roast dinner followed by choice of pavlova or traditional Christmas pudding. Yummy. The garden was nice. Interior of the hotel was well laid out. Staff were very helpful and even with our large group service was prompt. Highly recommended

Great place to go for a meal within the greater area. Great selection of meals, wines, good service and fair prices. Really happy and couldn't ask for more.

Great pub for a counter lunch and quiet brew. Goes off on Friday and Saturday nights.
