What a fun place........felt like we were out in the desert and in Mexico too. Julie was so accommodating for our "pop in visit" 😉. Loved that the map was so easy to follow, and the cute little photo ops..... Cactus throne 🌵 loved to hear more about the day off the dead.....
Thanx again Julie for our visit....... Hope to see you again soon

This is an amazing creation from one man's vision! Easy walking around all the winding paths amongst every kind of cactus you can imagine!
The collaborative paint works and other art add a nice touch to the garden.
Friendly and informative staff, lots of little cacti to purchase aswell as larger ones.
Highly recommend a visit!

There really aren’t enough superlatives.
It was a positive experience right from the start. We were greeted by a charming Dutch lady who explained all the background we needed, gave us a map and sent us on our way.
On the map was a QR code so you could download information as you went around.
It was very clear right from the start that this was a labour of love. 4000+ different species of cactus and succulent. And with multiples of each, you start to get an idea of the work and attention to detail in setting it up … let alone the time needed to nurture some of the more mature plants.
The walking is easy. I have a bit of a disability and thought I would be a bit of an embarrassment calling it quits early. And the other half has done an MCL (out for the season!). So neither of us had high hopes of getting around. But we needn’t have worried. Where there weren’t chairs, there were large rocks at just the right height for reversing a bottom onto.
One disappointing thing - and this is against my fellow tourists, and not the venue - why oh why do some people feel the need to leave their mark somewhere? What sort of person goes to such an amazing place and carves their name into living things!!! I’m sure your name is very pretty, but it’s damned ugly carved into a plant and ruins it for other people. Not to mention how upsetting for the man who did all this hard work!!
We finished the visit with a coffee and a piece of cactus cake. (Yes you heard correctly). Quite a unique flavour!
We also bought a lovely little cactus garden home as a memento.
Considering the time and expense that’s gone into its creation I was pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive the day was. Entry was VERY reasonable, as was my sweet little cactus garden. The coffee and cake was a bit more on the less-than-cheap side, but where else can you get cactus cake!?!?!
Highly recommend Cactus Country. (PS we chose not to wear sombreros, but they do offer them for photo opportunities around the place.

"I had the most incredible experience visiting the cactus plantation! As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the sheer variety of cacti on display. The owners have curated an impressive collection of species from around the world, each one more fascinating than the last.

The plantation is beautifully maintained, with winding paths that take you on a journey through the desert landscape. I was amazed by the vibrant colors and unique shapes of the cacti.

What really stood out, though, was the tranquil atmosphere. The plantation feels like an oasis, a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I spent hours wandering through the gardens, taking in the sights and sounds of nature.

Whether you're a cactus enthusiast, a nature lover, or just looking for a relaxing day out, this plantation is a must-visit. I left feeling inspired and rejuvenated, with a newfound appreciation for these incredible plants. Five stars isn't enough - I'd give it ten if I could!"

A place definitely worth visiting. A huge park full with all different kinds of cactus and succulents. Very impressive. Also ideal for a function, we attended a wedding with the party afterwards. Just great.

This attraction contains an amazing array of cactai from around the world. I was also surprised that this type of attraction was to be found in county Victoria. However, it is very worthwhile visiting. It is very easy to walk around and we were fortunate in that a lot of the cactai were in flower. Dogs are also welcome to be taken into the garden on a leash. Cactai are available to be purchased and there is food and drinks also available to be purchased.

🌵This is not your usual garden ❣ @cactuscountry is simply impressive, full of varieties of cacti, in different shapes and sizes. 🏜You can tell much care and dedication have been put into this gigantic cactus farm. It is 3 hours drive from Melbourne and totally worth it.🛻

A truly unique, local and family run tourist attraction to put on your itinerary when visiting North East Victoria. The Cactus garden is amazing, we were lucky enough to visit at sunset which made for some special photos. If you are visiting the area on a Saturday and looking for a great burger I can highly recommended Jim's burgers on a Saturday night.

Wow, what beautiful place they have created! Amazing displays of different cactuses! They have done such a great job! There are Mexican music happening when you walk in and you do feel like you are not in Victoria countryside! I quite enjoyed nachos and cactus cake from there as well. Also staff there were very polite and friendly. We really enjoyed experience there. I recommend this place ! Thank you so much.

We have visited last week(Nov2023) and they have made place bigger and better. We enjoyed once again. Enjoyed nachos and cake again . We will be back. I think coffee can be improved. Need to use better beans and machine need to be calibrated and must use good milk for it. Otherwise all good.

It was indeed a very different experience than any many visits to botanical gardens. We saw crafted cactus, giant ones, spirals and flowers. They were gigantic and surreal.

The music choice - AMAZING 🤩

People and Staff - Super friendly and kind. Julie who manages the place was so friendly and kind to drop us back to the bus station because we travelled on a sunny day.

The cactus cake was delicious. I should have picked one more take-away ✨

Will bring some of my friends back to this one 😊

I loved everything about cactus country. I took my partner and the kids today, we travelled from Melbourne and stayed local. One of the best and cost savvy holidays we have had. The variety of cactus in the garden was astounding and the huge agave plants were amazing. Awesome experience. Cant wait to go back in a few years!

Hidden gem! Hugh cactus country, took us a hour to wonder around. Didn’t see many cactus flowers, not sure we came at the right season. Tried combination of homemade cake and two scoops of cactus 🌵 ice cream for $15, small serves though. Otherwise we had a great time!

Beautiful place. If you love cactus 🌵 or need a insta perfect photo, that’s the right place. Its 3 hours drive from Melbourne and 2 hours from Albury. Plenty of parking. Entry fee 20 bucks adult and 10 for kids. 17.50 dollars for seniors.
Inside its really different country. Different varieties of Cactus feels Mexican desert 🏜. Not a cactus person but like the vibe.
Cafe, food and cactus flavoured ice cream you can try. Nice and clean washroom. On your way back, buy a small cactus as souvenir.
Secret tips: go on sunny day. Desert doesn’t feel desert 🌵 without sun.

10 out of 10 - would recommend!
What an awesome time we had at Cactus Country - photos do not do this destination justice!
From the moment we arrived the staff were super friendly and genuinely welcoming.
Entry fee was $20 per adult to enter and we felt it was well worth the experience - especially as they are still working on expanding this attraction.
The grounds themselves are so vast and take a while to take in (who knew there were so many different varieties of cacti), so would recommend it also for families as the kids we saw were really enjoying it.
They also have a cafe on site where they even serve Cactus Cake so will check that out next time for sure!
Would 100% recommend stopping here. Not just for the Insta friendly location but for its uniqueness!
