Barney’s Springs

Amazing springs, full of huge fig trees, you can actually drink the water coming out from the ground, the path to arruve there from the camping is a bit wild, narrow and there is a spot where you have to go in a creek, so take your gumboots!!

Can't believe this beautiful spot was here so close to home.
Never heard of it until this week.

The beauty of this place leaves you in awe and the tracks make for a great adventure as well.

If you're coming in from the war memorial it's not really obvious how to get in there. But there's a few tracks closer to the highway on camping side and a track right of the quarry gates.

Such a beautiful relaxing place

Amazing historic and relaxing place to hang.

Not too hard to find. I was on my own. If staying at Rocky Creek War Memorial camp, head out back of camp towards Mine. On the right you will see a track, keep following track till you reach fence line, go through gate, turn left. Follow track, check trees for arrows pointing in forward direction. Some of track is rocky under foot, some flat and some through knee high grass. Must have been nice at some point as there have been wooden seats in past. I guess when the rains come things get ravaged.
