Amazing service and experience. Phil put together a great trip for my partner and I for 6 nights around Tassie. The bike was well maintained and great to ride, the routes were incredible and the accommodation was clean and quiet. Very well thought out routes with plenty of options along the way depending on how much you want to see and how long you want to spend on the bike every day. Rented BMW G-310 (and safety gear) for one week; (counter-clockwise) motorbike tour of Tasmania. Great experience, good weather, motorbike in fine condition. One week wasn't enough time, Tasmania has become my favorite part of Australia. Enjoyed working with Phil; anticipate becoming a returning customer. Wow, what a fantastic experience! Just finished a 5 day self guided tour with my wife, both riding BMW700GS bikes. Right from my initial enquiries to picking up the bikes Phil was brilliant to deal with and takes care of every detail from route planning to booking accomodation. Simply turn up in Taz with your helmet and gear and off you go stress-free following the bikes gps route. Some of the most memorable riding, scenery and roads I’ve experienced. I highly recommend TMTR. Do yourself a favour and book a tour with them.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience using TMTR's services. The team here are very accommodating, even to work with you on the logistics of drop off and pick up, fortunately in my case I had local friends helping me out but had that not been the case Phil was willing to pick me up or organise bike pick up from the airport. The bike itself was a dream to ride and extremely well maintained. I will be using their services again and highly recommend using them to anyone reading!

I would highly recommend Tasmanian Motorcycle Tours and Rentals to anyone who is thinking of hiring bikes and doing a tour around Tasmania including accommodation.

I gave Phil a rough idea of the places I wanted to see and how many days I wanted to tour.
Phil got back to me very quickly with an Itinerary that suited us.
(We didn’t have to follow it exactly, it was only a guide).
We decided to do 9 days, 8 nights.
Monday March 5 – Tuesday March 16, 2021.
The tour included airport pick up and drop off. (Phil was waiting at the airport for us). Airport to Phil's place is approx 20 mins.

The bikes were great, very comfortable. (Triumph Tiger 800 XRx) 1 x normal, 1 x low seat.
Fuel range approx. 400kms.

Phil had every place of interest logged into favourites on the Garmin Sat Nav. (Easy to use)
He also supplied maps with all places listed for every day. (This went in the tank bag)
He had all our accommodation booked.
(We were happy with all accommodation he booked for us).

The pricing is very reasonable.

The weather was brilliant and we only had 1 rainy day.

Booked a motorcycle through TMTR for use at a work event in Hobart in February 2023, where the motorcycle was utilised as a first response vehicle for the event paramedic. We explained to Phil the intended use and types of equipment that would need to be carried, and he provided us with a choice of several appropriate motorcycles for the event with a variety of luggage options. The booking process was easy and well explained, with Phil being easily contactable and happy to chat over the phone to answer any questions. Pickup and drop off was also easy. The owner is an avid rider himself, so is also happy to provide local information and tips for those that aren’t familiar with Tasmania.

Overall a very easy booking process. I would happily recommend TMTR for both personal and business hire.

Phil was super accommodating and friendly, will definitely come back to rent from him again! The bmw 1200 gs we hired was perfect for our journey, and unlimited kms meant we could do some big days and not worry about extra costs.

Awesome Business well sorted in every way and run with a passion for riding bikes. I've known Phil and Christine for many years on the road and racing, they certainly know and love their bikes. This business is run the way motorcycle tours should be run by touring bike riders them selves .They will pick you up and drop you off at the airport if you fly in or from the boat if so.The bikes are new and all sorted with everything you need to go and enjoy the roads of Tassie as I did. There knowledge of road and , accommodation/food ,sites to see etc is second to none be it for what ever your budget .Luv ya work Phil & Christine , would highly recommend them with no hesitation at all (Awesome in every way) , and thanks for a great run up Mt Wellington and all your road knowledge too Phil. We had the best self-guided tour thanks to Phil and TMTR. From the get go, Phil was extremely helpful helping us plan a route around the Tasmanian East Coast, giving us pointers of where to stop for food, points of interest and sharing his extensive knowledge of the roads. He kitted us out with tank bags and the bikes were equipped with pillion boxes for our luggage. The GS1200s were a dream to ride - I can't recommend TMTR enough. Thanks Phil!

Phil the owner of TMTR delivered exactly as he had promised. I spent some time hunting for a motorcycle hire operator, (as most have closed during covid), and Phil provided some quality Triumph bikes, in great condition. Lent me a spare helmet and gave us some local tips. We had a great experience. Thanks and we will be back for the BMW 1250s if they are available next time!

Just did a one week self-guided tour organised by Phil. Had a great time. The itinerary was spot on, the accomodation was great and the bikes were in excellent condition. Phil was very responsive and added a personal touch to the way the interacted with us. Highly recommend.
