Rest Area 48 hours Maidenwell

What a fantastic rest stop provided here - thank you, Maidenwell.

We pulled in on a Monday morning with plenty of spots available to choose from. The restrooms were clean and well maintained thanks to the local council.

We visited the Trading Post for a delicious hamburger lunch with milkshakes. There is some low-level traffic noise during the day. It quietens down around five and very little if any noise overnight. The first night, it was just us there.

We headed to the Trading Post for breakfast the next day - again delicious. Truly outstanding hospitality, such friendly and inviting folks.

We used the gas BBQ and picnic tables provided, very helpful in having a rainwater tank available to wash things after cooking.

This 48-hour stop over is perfect for visiting Maidenwell, Coomba Falls, the Bunya Mountains, and Yarraman.

The pub across the road offered free camping, too, with access to hot showers and restrooms. We stayed there for a night too - recommend it also!

A fantastic small town with plenty of charm and grace, worth a visit and a stay. We will definitely be back for the October pig on the spit! Thank you, Maidenwell.

Great place for a break or overnight, very close to a fantastic cafe and the pub. Toilet block is between the cafe and the pub and a picnic table with a bbq and rain water tank is available. 48 hour stay and pets on leads.

Perfect place to stop 40 km to kingaroy.great toilet facilities, interesting artwork to admire.could not find any tank water to refill my bottle though.bore water is so boreing guess!

Excellent. Clean toilets, pub over the road to dinner and breakfast at the Trading Post.
Best breakfast ever

Simple rest area with toilets and a picnic table. Close to the shop and pub. Good for an overnight stop but nothing special. Good stop off point for the Bunya Mountains. Lots of mozzies so I moved on.

Public toilets were a disgrace.
