Gootchie Creek Escape

I visited it already 3 times since I moved and it’s in a perfect spot to stop when you’re travelling up North from Brisbane. There is a lot of space to camp, curious cows around and a nice creek. Dog friendly 🐕

If you’re looking for wide open space on a working cattle farm, look no further! Had a really great time here, dog friendly (though my kelpies were scared of the cows!) clean toilets and showers. No powered site so have to be self sufficient. The owners are super friendly and happy to help out.

Really quiet big campground hidden just a couple meters of the highway. Looots of space and having the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere.
Amenities are basic but work, showers also hot.

We absolutely loved our stay at Gootchie Creek Escape. They seem to have recovered well from the recent floods and the park looks magnificent. Dog friendly and clean amenities. We will be back.

A beautiful location with excellent views and facilities. If you are looking for somewhere to just relax and unwind this is the place. There is a kiosk on site selling firewood,ice cold drinks and some essential. And if you're lucky you might get a visit from the local cows.

Such a beautiful big property! Absolutely loved our stay. Full bathroom amenities, huge wide open areas for camping, close to shops and petrol station. Can’t wait to go back!

Great spot hired a camper that wasn't exactly the best condition but otherwise great place to camp

A lovely spot. Nice big open spaces and amenities are great. However if it’s peace and quiet you want then this isn’t the place. They host parties on weekends and have loud music playing. When I camp I go away for the tranquility not to hear loud music playing, I can do that in the city!
