Cake'A'Licious

This is such a beautiful cafe with a wide range of drinks and sweets to offer on the menu. The milkshake and cake were delicious, couldn't fault them. The staff are friendly and helpful. Will certainly be back and hope to order a cake for a birthday one day soon after looking through the cake books.

Cake’A’Licious make my two teir wedding cake recently. Top teir was chocolate mud and it was beautiful however was left disappointment by the bottom teir which was caramel mud as it was dry and burnt on the edges. When you pay a fortune for a wedding cake you don't want one good teir and one bad dry and burnt teir.

I was so excited to go to Cake’A’Licious when I first knew that they were opening. I love sweets and coffee so I thought it would be my new favourite place to go. The first time I went my lactose intolerant friends order was wrong despite being very specific with her order. I understand that it was a new business so I didn’t worry too much about it.

The next time I went in with my mum, both of our coffee orders were wrong. They tried to give us somebody else’s cake order as well but we said it wasn’t ours. When our coffee order came it was still incorrect but we ended up drinking what we could to not bother them again.

I texted Cake’A’Licious about ordering and picking up desserts at 6pm (because it was one of their dessert nights) I ordered them for my mum and dads anniversary. I texted them to order like they asked and heard nothing back for hours, then I texted their Instagram (because I saw that they were posting lots of story’s, they must of been active) and saw that my message was seen but I didn’t get a reply. I was shocked by the rude reply I eventually received, even though I had contacted them via the avenue they requested.

Another family member placed an order and asked Cake’A’Licious to confirm a pick up time. They confirmed that the cupcakes were available but then never responded about a time to pick up. My family member went to pickup but a ‘closed’ sign was up. My family member felt bad that they couldn’t pick up their order and messaged Cake’A’Licious only to receive a rude and abrupt reply and a request to not message again.

I know the stress that comes with running a small business and my own experience in the hospitality industry had reminded me to be the understanding customer. But also the customer is always right, I know mistakes happen but you can’t expect to have customers if they’re being treated like this.
