A bright and cheery beachside cafe, great food, great vibe. Grab a wine/beer from the bottle shop next door for the table or takeaway. Very good sized meals. A happy spot for locals and tourists.

Had dinner with friends here tonight and had a really delicious vegan burger. It was lovely sitting on the veranda and service was great. We all enjoyed our meals and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. They also do great smoothies and a fruit frappe that we had enjoyed earlier in the day.

The best fish (whiting) and chips I have had for many years. The chips were perfectly crunchy and delicious. Will definitely make the trip from Port Macquarie to have another scrummy meal here.
Another plus is Scott's Head is such a pleasant little place.

Just had a works burger on a GF bun......Awesome!! So fresh and Yummy. Great price and huge. Chips were good too!!! Really friendly too. Win win!!

As a local I can say this place has the absolute best chips anywhere on the mid north coast. Cooked perfectly and every chip is crunchy. Currently closed, I am hanging out for @Jays to reopen!!

Best fish and chips I had for a while. Fish was very fresh and juicy. I ordered grilled dory and it was perfectly cooked!! Oh and the chips were crunchy but not overly cooked. Definitely worth it. Would come back when we head this way again.

I got a battered flat head and the wife had the grilled dory. Both were delicious. The fish itself was was so much better than anything you can get inland and on par or better than the same at expensive Sydney harbour restaurants.

Chips were crunchy, perfect.

Read a couple of the negative reviews before posting mine. Quite surprised actually. Expected to see 5star.

My wife and I had a splendid experience so don’t be put off by the negs. Give this place a try.

The best, , friendliest cafe around. Truly wonderful service. The seafood basket was mainly seafood, with a small amount of chips. Cooked to perfection.

Popped in for a coffee. Full-flavour, no bitterness. Very busy with proprietor being the sole staff member on a Sunday morning. But he did well, getting orders to everyone when I was there. A nice little place.

The Dory fish was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this business. Great friendly service.

The man that served us was a legend, super friendly and his burgers were some of the best we’ve had (even our vegetarian friend was incredibly impressed with the veggie burger), lovely place!

So glad we found this cafe.we had excellent whiting, one with chips, the other with salad. J was very knowledgeable about coeliac and the need for gluten free. We’ll be back for sure.
