The View in Scotts Head

We recently stayed at The View - the location is amazing. We loved walking down the headland to the beach and watching the whales while eating lunch on the deck. The place is great - would definitely recommend. We hope to stay again!

The View is a real hidden gem!!! We’ve been lucky enough to stay at this lovely beach house on three occasions and each stay has been great. The owners have thought of everything to make for a comfortable and relaxing beach holiday. The beds are very comfy, the showers are excellent, the kitchen is very well equipped and all within walking distance to two beautiful beaches and at the end of a day at the beach you have the added benefit of returning to this stunning beach house where you can sit on the back deck with a glass of wine (or two) while taking in the spectacular view and watching the sunset. Thank you to the owners for putting so much effort into making all of our stays so memorable. We feel very lucky to have found this unique little piece of paradise and will return again.

What a beautiful retreat from the hustle and bustle of every day life in the city! My husband and I had an overall wonderful experience at "The View". It was easy booking directly with the owner who made things simple and straight forward while also making us aware of the fine print. The house is very clean and tidy with ample space both to relax and unwind. The view is truly amazing and my husband and I really enjoyed sitting outside on the deck reading and having a glass of wine. Would recommend!!

Wow! What a great property and scenic location.

My wife and I stayed at The View on our first visit to Scotts Head and it really was a perfect few days. We watched dolphins off the veranda most days and it's a short walk to multiple beaches and into town.

The house is perfectly suited for everyone from a couple looking for a relaxing week away right up to larger families or groups.

We can't wait to get back.

The View is superb!!!!! I highly recommend staying here - stunning view over the very beautiful Scott’s head. We saw many whales from the balcony (and sea turtles, dolphins, crabs within ~100m). Very comfortable inside with full kitchen, magazines etc to make your stay perfectly relaxing. Scott’s head is a hidden gem - beautiful beaches, great for families, gorgeous surrounding day trips.

The manager of the view has changed! Be warned. I have stayed at The View many times without any problems but this year was different.
The first problem started with my request to make a cancellation. I tried to cancel the booking 9 months before our arrival date and was told it was a 50% cancellation fee. This meant she wanted to charge me $6000. So read the policy carefully. Its very hard to find and difficult to understand.
Then, she took the $1300 of our bond for cleaning fees. The house was cleaned by a professional once a week for the month whilst we were there and the house was clean when when we left it.
Pets are allowed and she charged us pet sanitation fee which was never originally disclosed. My dog who has also stayed at the view many times is completely house trained and we have never been charged before. Finally, we wanted to go through the Stayz website but she insisted we go direct. This left us very unprotected and cheated out of a lot of money.
We won't ever stay here again.
