Cobar Thai Restaurant

After a tiring day, wanted something to get rid of the tiredness. The food was delicious and spicy as we like. The staff were friendly and atmosphere was lovely.

A little gem in the middle of nowhere.
Have eaten here a few times, the meals have always been consistent, value priced and very enjoyable.
A good vegetarian option is also available.

We had a really great meal here tonight - wish we were in town longer so we could eat there again. I had a vegetable yellow curry and my husband had the duck red curry, we also shared a serving of fabulous spring rolls. Everything was delicious and fresh. Lovely and attentive service too. Highly recommend.

I have been to Cobar several times and eaten at several different place but this place is by far the best. The service was excellent and food was great. The cocktails weren’t bad either. Highly recommended.

Cobar is very lucky to have this fine and spacious restaurant. Thanks to the quality here Thai food may finally deservedly spread through the outback (long overdue after relentless pub food or Chinese!). Was clearly popular with locals as demonstrated by the good business it was having on this Tuesday night. The cocktails were a pleasing plus. Our price included cocktails, entrees, mains and soft drinks.

Fantastic Food! The best we had in long time. The service was excellent as well.
The Chef (I guess maybe manager or owner?) was multitasking between phone orders, customers coming in , training the new lovely girl and keeping track of the kitchen all at the same time.

Ordered from here last night as we were passing through Cobar. One of the best Thai meals I’ve had in years! The Chilli Basil Stir Fry with mixed seafood was to die for! The seafood was melt in your mouth fresh. If I didn’t live so far away I’d be a regular customer.

Scrummy authentic Thai by Thai couple cooking/ front of house. Unflappable staff, easy ordering, food arrived quickly even on a busy night with lots of takeaway orders. Meals were as good as any Thai I have had in Australia. Bonus points for delicious $12 cocktails. Happy to recommended.

Wonderful food. We are early so had the place to ourselves to start, gradually got busier by the time we left. A lot of take away orders placed and ready quickly.

An excellent variety and beautifully presented modern Thai cuisine.

There seems to be some deliberation about whether this place is good or if it is good just because of location. For my part (significant experience in Thailand, Sydney and Melbourne), this place is excellent. Beef Massamun was excellent. Better than I have had anywhere in Sydney. Do yourself a favour and get a cocktail as well.

good meals, fried rice had lots of chicken and prawns in it. Reaonably priced as well.

We dropped in for dinner and were most impressed. A clean, well lit restaurant with good spacing between tables. Friendly and efficient service. The food was very good, with wonderful flavours coming through in both the massaman curry and Thai ginger chicken.

Great Pad Thai. It's a bit pricey but tasted great! Well worth it.

The first sip of the Tom yum soup brought me back to Thailand! Had the fried hokkien noodles and finished off with the Thai Milk Tea (water down if its too sweet) Well done guys!

Very good. Had takeaway here twice this week and enjoyed it. The vego spring rolls weren't my thing but everything else was good with fast service. Place was pretty busy one night.

Considering you’re verging on the remote outback this is great quality South East Asian food in regional NSW.
Good meal sizes and a very affordable cocktail list (very affordable!). Great for vegetarian options.
I’m giving this 5 stars relative to where you are in the world, when you’re sitting down to a delicious green curry watching the hay trucks stream by.
I will say that some music playing in the restaurant would be nice
