Murrumbateman Village Market

My first time at the Murrumbateman Village Market and I'm putting this one on the regular rotation list! Drive into the showground and park behind the area with the stalls, and then wander through, choosing between local meats, fresh fruit and veg, dried nuts and fruits, handmade crafts, breakfast sandwiches, blueberry ice cream, freshly brewed or whole bean coffees, and a whole lot more - all of this to a background of live music. It helped that it was a perfect summer morning, but this market is a winner in almost any weather.

Words can't do justice to explain just how great this market is, i loved it. The setting amongst the oak trees is grand. The lovely music that played all day helped to make a great atmosphere. The locals and travellers made the vibe magical. The range of stalls was amazing, truly something for everyone and the quality of the goods was second to none. If you get the chance to visit this market you won't be disappointed and i recommend that you make a day of it. Absolutely perfect

Murrumbateman Village Market has reopened on 23 October 2021 after a pause during the pandemic. The market features local produce from the Yass Valley region, such as meat, alpaca products and plant. There are also food stalls for breakfast or a Dutch pancake. Market goers can also find Tumut River Brew Co. stall here which was a surprise to me. Two live alpaca were on show and this definitely attracts the kids. A family friendly market indeed.

Lively music, great catch up with friends, wine tasting, pet treats, great food and support for charities, Llamas, jumping castle, Jim’s carpet cleaning, crafts, produce, Yass mobile Library service…..the list goes on with reasons to go to the Murrumbateman Markets on a Saturday morning!!!!!!

Premier country market in the region. Great variety, clean, well organised. A must visit if you are in the region.

My partner and I really enjoy attending this market. It has a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere, (more like what farmers markets should feel like!). Lots of stalls selling quality fruit, veg, pork, lamb and small goods products. Together with preserves, take away foods, wine, other local niche producers and good parking makes this market well worth attending and travelling a distance to check out. Highly recommended.

Well I'm biased because I help run the market but we get told by lots of people that they really enjoy the fresh food that you can buy direct from the producers and the nice vibe of the market with the green grass, live music and plenty of parking.

One of the best kept secrets in the region and it shouldn't be. Wonderful country atmosphere on canberra's doorstep with a diverse range of product for sale.
