Murrumbateman Field Days

Fabulous day out for family. I thoroughly enjoyed taking my two grandsons to this event. The boys particularly loved the sheep dogs rounding up the sheep and it was great to see Kelpies of different ages and their skill development at each age from 16 weeks to 2 years. There were plenty of opportunities for interaction with farm animals. The small fair ground with rides provided an enjoyable break from the stalls and exhibits. I did find the rides very expensive and next year we will arrive earlier and buy a day pass for try he rides.

Love this day to death. Real agricultural displays with great atmosphere. Even cynical teens get into the fun.

Awesome, so much to do, see and buy

Second year I have been to the Field day, still enjoyed it, just wondering around seeing the farm equipment, food stalls, animals and tracker pulls. A great day feeding ideas for sound the farm. Will be going back next year.

A wonderful day (or weekend). All the life and entertainment of the Royal Shows with lots less of the 'plastic crap'. Lots of 'stuff you don't need but looks really cool' and lots of 'things you do need but didn't know you did', so a little extra cash to spend on the day is wonderful. However once you have paid your entry fee there is no need to pay much more, byo nibbles and drinks or buy a reasonable priced lunch from one of the service organisations (CWA, Rotary etc)

The kids have lots to see, do and touch, they come away tired and calm (no bright lights, limited sugar and lots of healthy yummy alternatives).

Went last year to this thing and it was a great time, just down the road from Canberra, and a good excuse to get away for myself and my little boy! Great value for money and a great chance to buy some country produce, take in some tunes and just have a day in the sun!

We are regular visitors to the MFD. We make sure we arrive nice and early on Saturday morning and spend the day visiting all the exhibitors. The MFD is our first stop for local seedlings for our vegie patch. We always purchase great varieties which are hardy to our region. They always produce abundant fruit and vegies. We always go home with something different - one year we purchased Grandpa's weeder which is the best contraption we have EVER purchased. Great for pulling out single weeds. But we have never seen it again.

MFD is one of the highlights of our year and we can't wait for Saturday to arrive. See you all there again!

Best country fair in NSW! Excellent goods sold. Plenty of kids activities.

This will be our first year visiting the Murrumbateman Field Days. Just reading through the long list of exhibitors I know it will be a fantastic day out.

Enjoyable morning at the AFL auskick training session watching the grandsons playing, then tennis at the Murrumbateman tennis courts and now lunch with the family at the pub 😉
