Old school country pub, good friendly service and locals are inviting, exactly what you'd expect in Cobar. Arriving at Happy Hour was a plus.

Great place to grab a feed. Family friendly and beautiful meals. Front bar is a great place to chat with a local.

Cold beer at a great price. Reasonable selection of wine. Pub food was above average and very large servings. There is a pizza menu as well. Local families were eating here which suggests it's good quality. Open every lunch and dinner which makes it a go to option.

I gave this hotel 5 stars because of the staff and especially the Manager Ross. The motel rooms out the back were comfortable and warm with the best bed I and have slept in since starting my journy from Queensland. I understand this hotel is still being renovated and updated so allowances must be made for that. However i had no issues with any thing that bothered me. It's not often that the Manager would accompany me to ensure I was safe returning to my room late in the evening. Thank you Ross.

This place is a hidden gem, recommended to me by locals and it more than measured up to expectations. Huge perfectly cooked Scotch fillet and great crunchy chips, easily one of the best steaks I've had and very reasonably priced. Service was friendly and food came out quickly, if you're looking for a great pub meal in Cobar, I cannot recommend the Western enough. If I'm ever in town again I'll be back without a doubt.

$5 stone and wood schooeys - how could you go wrong!

Easy access, great price. The room was warm and comfortable with easy access to the hotel for a meal.

This old school country pub may be a little worse for wear but the meals are fantastic. We had the pizzas and they were delicious and HUGE! All the meals looked amazing - good old fashioned pub food.

Driven a long way? Go here. Live locally? Go here. These guys can cook. Everyone in the dining room looked like they agreed. Great, honest food, excellent value, clean and clear flavors. So good I'm inspired to write my first review. Super nice staff sealed the deal. A++, would eat here again.

Was there in Cobar with friends during Christmas and New Years' break on our way to outback NSW. Cobar is a bit limited with food options (I am from Sydney).

With limited food options Cobar has, i was hoping to find something average and just landed in here to have a Pizza ! I can easily say that these guys have one of the best Pizzas' i have ever had (if not the best). The toppings were fresh, well prepared and the portion size was awesome. On top of that the customer service was nice with friendly front desk staff (i had a take away). I just wish these guys were located within 50km of Sydney and i would have been their regular customer.

I would definitely recommend anyone traveling to the outback to try their Pizza and you won't be disappointed.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. This hotel is great to eat at. Food is amazing. Good serves and staff are friendly and personable. Best meal in awhile at a pub. Well done guys. Just need to play music in the dining area. Rita's (hope that is correct) playlist is the best.

the staff are so friendly and so easy to get along with, great location being across the road from 1 iga and when you go behind the motel there is another iga. would definitely recommend staying here.

Possibly the best pub meal I have ever had! Everyone was very friendly, our meals came out hot and fresh and we all agreed amazing taste!
We were in Cobar for 2 nights and headed back there the second night as it was so good!

Greatest Parmi meal ever.
Chips crispy but moist, salad fresh. Even the plate it's all served on is great, add in mushroom gravy and a beer and its perfect

Amazing fillet steak for $25 last week, good serving size and quality my local could learn from. Also had a good takeaway pizza with loads of toppings.

Matt was very helpful when I rang to book a room and the showers were nice and hot after being in the truck all day and a comfy bed in the room as well I recommend staying here and will definitely be booking again when coming back through thanks once again Matt

Absolutely stunning meal. Asked for a medium rare steak and got it....perfect. Generous portions and great pricing. Fast friendly and efficient service. Will be back. A+
