Historic Merryville Homestead

Such a wonderful and historic yet homely stay in the rolling hills of Yass with absolutely wonderful hosts who offer you an enormous hearty fire and the original rooms of their amazing homestead to soak up the history of this merino farm which our 7year old adored, especially feeding the lambs! The hosts Rob and Ning, offer you a look around the farm and even make you a breakfast, and true-blue Rob offer all sorts of insights into another era and the country side we often dont see enough of as Australians any more. Cannot recommend highly enough, great communicators and very easy to deal with. Stunning!

We had a marvellous stay with Rob and Nung in their absolutely gorgeous home. The homestead is a true treasure and to be able to stay there was a pure delight in itself. Our hosts were very welcoming and considerate as well

Beautiful drive through Yass valley. And our GPS and phone google maps failed us and took us to unsealed road. Check numbers as you drive along. Name is not that prominent at the front. There are pine trees at both sides of the road near the property. I am so thankful that they keep this open. How else can we experience so much history in a homestead. Very friendly hosts. Peaceful gardens. Very relaxing. I was enjoying their egg chair hanging from the tree, Everything had that homestead feeling. Comfortable beds, Lovely rooms. Beautiful toiletries. Everything I needed was in the bathroom. They have tried their best to maintain the homestead atmosphere. We watched a DVD in the night. Nice breakfast. We loved it. Nice getaway for families.

Perfect getaway from the city to this idyllic gorgeous homestead! Beautiful hosts - so warm and friendly & cooked us the best hot brekkie using organic produce & even let us have some fun with her ukelele... kids spend hours on the porch strumming tunes between running around the beautiful gardens. Highly recommended!
