Such a highlight of our KI trip. I stumbled on it on Google Maps and we squeezed in a visit on our last day. It’s a truly magical place and well worth a visit. There was nobody else there. Thanks George!

A castle in harmony with nature, various parts of castle with a touch of flair.

Cannot imagine how King George is looking after it over twenty-one years and open to everyone for free.

Optional donation is available.

Definitely a must see if you like eclectic and different. The kids loved it! George spent 20 years building his castle and adding piece by piece to create this now tourist attraction full of sculptures, bric-a-brac and climbable castle towers.
I enjoyed the outside the box thinking and creativity.

You'll be here for about 10 minutes but you should visit it. Created by the insane mind of some humours horder. It's ridiculously tacky but wonderful at the same time.

Georges Castle is fantastic 🏰 George is a lovely man, has done an outstanding job in building this Castle, it's so cool 👌🏻I've been there 3 times on two visits to KI, twice during the day and once at night to see the amazing lights around the place ✨ it really is a must see when you go to the Island 🏝

An absolute hidden TREASURE. We enjoyed looking around at all of the work, beautiful garden, and thought that has gone into this fun place. The reviews we read said, "Great for the kids." Well, this 50 something pair of oldies had a great time visiting .

A must stop for fun sight seeing and a chance to stretch your legs - no entry tickets required. After driving for an hour in the vast farmland, we came across his gorgeous castle towers and had to stop to see what it was all about! George is so friendly and kind, he told us all about his creations and we left feeling like we really got to know him. He has put his heart and soul into his castle and his efforts show! We have raved about him to everyone we’ve seen since stumbling upon him. We will definitely stop to visit again the next time we are back. Thank you George for giving us a special memory on our trip!

A quirky attraction in the middle of nowhere which is well worth a visit! Sad to hear George’s story but glad that he has stuck to his hobby which would delight all visitors, young and old! To us we said that it was the Australian version of the Watts Towers in Los Angeles. An absolute credit to George and it should be a must see on anyone’s trip across to Kangaroo Island. No tickets required!

"King" George III is a delightful old man. His castle is worth the drive there, the views are amazing and the quirky assortments throughout keep it interesting. It's no multi million dollar amuzement park, I'd go again just to take a walk in the garden and talk with George again though. Such a great man.

We stumble on this little nugget. WoW! George's Castle is best visited at night to appreciate the lights.

Forget Lobethal lights, this display is next level. 50K lights, hundreds of display items and forts/towers to climb and admire the view.

George greeted us on arrival and explained the history. 3 generations have put this display together.

Make sure you call George before arriving so he can make sure the lights and displays are on.

A very quirky castle with Vikings, Kangaroos, Boomerangs, Witches, a Christmas Display and more, this display is not to be missed. Stop by and say hi to George if he's in otherwise enjoy walking around in this quirky castle admiring the various displays he has managed to conquer up.

What an amazing man and legacy George the 3rd has built on Kangeroo island. His passion shines though in everything you see and even though we stopped by late and in the off season, he still graciously showed us around and turned some lights on for us.

If your in the area, I highly recommend calling George (85535213) and booking a day time tour to see his collection or visit on Christmas week when he turns his lights on every night.

It's free to see Georges collection but he has a donation box and I strongly suggest taking a note instead of coins.

Thank you George for showing us around your incredible collection.

Iconic kangaroo island that you won’t find on the official tourist maps. Bring some notes to donate if you are coming at night to help cover electricity costs.

George is one of the kindest person I have ever seen. Great exhibition of lights. Our best wishes for you live long and stay healthy.
All people should remember to put some money into the donation box because that is what he only got.
We are proud on you George.....
