Very modern pub experience. Customer service was great. The food wasn’t as good. Schnitzel was like the average. One batch of chips were full of crunch the other batch was rushed.

Lovely Valentines dinner. Food was excellent and staff are friendly and attentive. Tables were decorated with flowers and red love hearts. Great pub food with good specials on offer. Sunday roast next time for us. Highly recommend

Service #1, staff ever so accommodating. Food was very good and happy to have been given a choice of salad or veg along with chips.
Have been a few times, this time was really nice.
I love the okay area for the grandies, that's our draw card.

We held a fundraiser for Variety - The Children's Charity at the Payneham on Saturday 30th August. Matthew (The Manager) and his team at the Payneham Tavern were amazing. We had 100 people attend and all of them ordered meals and everyone said it was great food. The bar staff were friendly, happy and did an exceptional job with the large crowd. It is a great venue for a large event for the layout too. We held a similar event last year at the Payneham and it too was a great success but, this year was even better. Thank you staff and especially Matt and Naomi for all your help to make it such a great event. If you are thinking of holding a large event, choose the Payneham Tavern. Go and see Matt. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks guys for a great job and venue. Some photos posted too!

Was great atmosphere and if I could say anything helpful I'd like to say that if the service was a little more than it was would of stayed longer

Great friendly service. Had the scotch fillet with vegetables and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very spacious so not over crowded or noisy so easy to hold a conversation. I recommend trying this venue.

We attended a fundraising night here and it was a fantastic.
The bar staff (most notably Mark) were fantastic and it almost seemed they went above and beyond to provide a high level of service. The menu was set to about 5-6 options because of our fundraising event, I ended up ordering a simple beef snitty, I must say it was one of the best snittys I have had in years, the meat was so tender and the crumb was perfect. This was a memorable night and we will most definitely be back for another meal and top notch service.

Staff in the gaming room were very polite and helpful when I was there and my partner and was very successful with the machines on this occasion

Took the family. Kids ate free (mon/Tue) and had activities provided as well as a spot for them to play and watch a kids movie. Cheaper pricing for seniors and the regular meal pricing was very reasonable. Food was really tasty... For the gluten intolerant out there calamari and steaks are options... There may have been more but I get blind sided by GF calamari....Really friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely go again.

Popped in at the last minute after driving by for years. I still remember when it was an old Sizzler restaurant.
Food was great, the flathead and roast beef was perfect. There was even yorkshire puddings! Service was great and it was quiz night and the guy organising that was a legend.

Great food, music & atmosphere! The roast pork was so good & the salt & peper calamari too! The 2 guys who were there were so welcoming. And we had free use of their billiards table what a treat!

Had dinner tonight with friends. Had heard it was under new management. I was very impressed with the service, we were made to feel very welcome and the food was very tasty and well presented. I won’t hesitate to recommend to family and friends. I think that the manager is doing a lot to improve the atmosphere within the hotel with promoting quizz nights and Mothers Day luncheons etc. I look forward to returning again.
