Pengo's Cafe

Wanted to give a shout out to the wonderful Pengos Cafe staff.
We recently lost a friend who was a customer for many years.
Pengos staff were so compassionate & genuinely caring.
They always do there best & have been welcoming us for years.
Good coffee, good food, good service what more can you ask for.
Well done team 🙏

Excellent Chef. Food was absolutely outstanding with house made dressings, fantastic friendly staff, rewards card. Lived here for years, never been to this place. Big Mistake! Both meals pictured are hard to describe because they were that good.
The smell of waffles and coffee in a beautiful setting was so good we're going back for that next time. New regulars.

I got the eggs Benedict, chips and iced chocolate. The hollandaise sauce didn’t have too much lime in it like other places tend to do so it tasted delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the chips were delicious and crunchy yet soft on the inside. The iced chocolate was stronger then most places and actually tasted like chocolate so that is a plus. On the downside it can get busy which understandably slows down service and the view from the place doesn’t really show the beach that well but overall I really enjoyed the experience and will be back if I am ever in the area!

Nice little Cafe by the ocean, great atmosphere, friendly staff, dogs allowed ,have plenty of water bowls for your dogs.
And the food is amazing.

Great outdoor cafe along our beautiful coastline in Rockingham! The food and coffee is great and so are the friendly staff. Perfect for an easy morning brekky.

Lots of parking spots and easy to get to!

Really enjoyed the Steak Sandwich and Chips. Steak was cooked rare, just how I like it, but was easy to eat. If you want it cooked longer I would mention this when you order. Chips were crispy and tasted great.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from this place. Appreciate the comments that it's poorly positioned to take account of the views, but these buildings were very common 30 years ago.

I gave 5 stars because of the food, service, cleanliness and pet friendliness. It's clear that locals love it too, and it's not a tourist trap. My sister is vegan and there was good choice for her. My niece's favourite - banana bread - was on point. I had a chicken salad which was made with fresh produce and a lovely, refreshing vinaigrette.

I had no issue with the wooden cutlery, etc. I'm relieved we're not seeing any plastic particularly since it's next to the water.

I'm not sure who owns the building, but hopefully they refurbish it to take account of the view and beautiful surroundings, and update the playground (it was a fail for my 2 year old niece - too boring/small).

We called in this morning and were going to have the breakfast as it wasn't 11.00am for main menu. The lovely man behind the counter explained we could order from other menu. May i say the food service and atmosphere were sensational

Probably the best sausage roll we’ve ever had - beautiful sausage meat and crisp flaky pastry

I have been here previously and it was nice then but this last visit it was amazing.
My son took me for lunch and he had never been there before so he took me there and I have to say the food was very fresh and filling and the portions were spot on.
Nice place to have a coffee or tea or any other beverage as well as food.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and apologetic if there was a delay.

Great coffee and Best of Best fish and chips. Will comeback again for their fish and chips

Lovely cafe by the beach, with sheltered outdoor seating and heaters. Good food and beverage options. 😊

Staff were friendly and hospitable despite the new year peak time.

Food was awesome, coffee was awesome, customised my scrambled eggs to make them spiced and were literally the best eggs I've ever had. Cute outdoor seating area too.
