Discovery Parks - Cloncurry

Stayed here for 5 days a few weeks back. Cannot complain about anything, great park very clean. We unfortunately encountered a rare storm one evening. We would like to say a big thankyou to the gentlemen at the front reception who tried his best to help us. Will be back again

Only had 1x night here, but is lovely park. We had powered caravan site. Plenty trees, most sites are roomy. Mostly cabins & work site accommodation at start & end of park. Good clean amenities. Free laundry facilities. Nice pool. Camp kitchen with large TV. Close to town & didn’t hear any road noise. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed for a couple of nights, staff were awesome and very welcoming, great pool close to town, would stay again

We were pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed our stay in this park, plenty of lovely trees and shade, we were on a grassed site with heaps of room. Didn't use the pool but it was inviting and clean. Free laundry a great bonus. Will be rebooking on our return journey.

Only arrived today, but park looks lovely, clean & tidy. Free laundry, clean showers and toilets, pool ..... what more do you want. Definitely recommend, just on the left as you enter town from the south. Nice, friendly staff too.

We booked a night here, having it being the cheapest place in town, and we are over impressed! So we booked another night here, staying in economy cabin, it’s great value for money, everything you need including; en-suite, porch, kitchenette, very comfy bed. Even down to washing up liquid & sandwich bags, they have thought of everything! Free washing & free gym! Staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient. Recommend this place over a motel in the centre, it’s only 3 min drive /5 min bike ride away :) worth it! Thank you :)

The team at Discovery Parks Cloncurry are outstanding & my husband & I can't thank them enough for their support.
At the recommendation of Cloncurry Police, I arrived late one night with an injured dog & two cats after my husband rolled his truck outside of town enroute to WA.
Though not normally pet friendly, the Owner/ Manager not only did what he could to accomodate us but also offered to care for our dog whilst we actioned a recovery plan.
We extended our stay twice to a total of seven nights & throughout this time all the staff including Management, maintenance, cleaning & kitchen did what they could to support us from providing extra toilet paper to empty food boxes to repack our belongings.
As a retired Brisbane Retirement Community Manager of eleven years & ex-Hotel Manager, I know what it takes to operate a facility like this & commend the entire team for their efforts.
If passing through Mt Isa & Cloncurry we highly recommend staying at Discovery Parks Cloncurry.

Great park! Yes primarily set up for the miners but you never see or hear them. About 30 caravan sites. Park very well kept, nice amenities and trees!!

We had motel style room. Very comfy and clean. We had dinner at restaurant on the Sunday night and was very impressed with the quality and quantity of choice. Very impressed that there was no charge for the washing machines. Gym available
Will definately come again

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. Beautiful shady spots. Great camp kitchen but best of all was the dining hall. $25/person gives you an all-you-can buffet meal - hot & cold food, veggies & salads, fresh fruit, cakes, slices & ice cream for desserts, coffee/tea/juice. Go back as many times as you want, and 'Chinese food' containers are provided for left-overs.

This is a great place to stay. You don't even have to leave to eat! Buffet style dinner with all you can eat everything including ice cream and plenty of room. Obviously the park is designed for the miners but everyone feels welcome. Would stay there again.

Excellent place to stay. beds are comfy rooms are clean and the food is good. Would stay again. Please keep in mind this place also doubles as a mining camp so traffic is high

We were booked for one night at this lovely park with its free washing machines and excellent camp kitchen with all the trimmings including a huge TV
Our car developed an electrical problem that necessitated us staying an extra two days and potentially longer
Hamish at reception was very kind and helpful to us in our predicament and managed to find a way for us to stay in a full park until we could leave
Hamish's behaviour towards us was exemplary and he deserves commendation for it
I recommend this park to anyone and rate it a 10 out of 10

The best chefs work here & whatever they're being paid, they should be paid more!! Accommodation is very comfortable with very adequate facilities ... & plenty of them. Staff & management really look after you!! Thank you Discovery Parks Cloncurty for looking after us!!!

good o/nite stay with stay connected site. Slight walk to clean amenities but acceptable to my wife and I

We stayed in a cabin. It was clean and well priced. If I'm out that way again, I would stay there again

Beautiful caravan park, well maintained, could do with a freezer in the camp kitchen though, huge awesome TV in the kitchen camp, friendly staff and late check-in option available.

We have stayed here twice in a cabin, overnight stays. Perfect for us. It's the only place we will stay when we visit my partner while he's working in town. Affordable and everything we look for in accomodation.

Great staff, good food. Manager Hamish is a great bloke who'll look after you during your stay! Great amenities too.
