We've stayed at the RV park many times. Flat, spacious, quiet, no water, toilets or dump point but all close handy up the street. Loved our stays.

Stacks of room, only rubbish bins. Make sure you collect and leave town receipts at message board. We parked in middle alongside the wicket. Great town. Follow us Sweet-Az RV'n on youtube

Great, safe, clean, no toilets so you have to be self sufficient. Very popular, so get in early for a good spot.

So close to town, totally free, spend more money in the town, which is great for the community. Loved Peterborough

Peterborough RV Park is a massive semi grassy oval shaped free camp area that the great historic Peterborough town offers to travellers. It a good 5 minutes walk to the town centre. There are several bins available as well as a container bin near the free camp entrance. There is a community board with information about the town and some advertising paraphernalia of town food and services. Travellers can stay a maximum of 72 hours and the town kindly asks to remember to ask for receipts of purchases from the town to drop in their receipt box next to the bins provided. Unfortunately there is no toilet or water facilities on site. However that may be it is still a great free camp surrounded with trees at the end of the oval, sometimes you can hear the enigmatic tooting horns of the different trains that pass through the town. The Peterborough locals are very friendly, they have one main road that leads in and out to town where most of their businesses are located. There are several plaques that stand on the sidewalk showing tourists the town's history and you can miss the eye-catching steam trains scattered all over the area. There is also a sculpture of Bob the dog.Thank you Peterborough for the free camp, if possible adding a drop toilet would help a whole lot or even a paid potable water and a dump point in the future. Generators allowed.

Very large park, plenty of parks around the perimeter. Central area is grassed. A short drive out of town, just past the Steamtown Heritage Centre. Thank you Peterborough.

Great free camp, spent more money on town instead of at a caravan park. Well done Peterborough.

What a great spot, and this was the reason we spent a couple of nights in Peterborough. Yes, you have to be self-contained, but there is lots of room and options for shady or sunny sites.

Absolutely loved this camp area. Heaps of space and the town folk were very friendly. Loved Bob the Dog statue and story. The ladies at the information centre were helpful and friendly. Loved the light and sound show. Ended up spending 4 days. Loved the motorbike museum, train museum and coffee shops.

Nice big open area. The spot we chose was flat and no levelling was needed which is always a bonus. Some good shade.
Thankyou Peterborough. Money was spent in town.
