Dymocks Hyde Park

Jo, Andrew and Nadine really look after me, and my mother. They take an interest in my book tastes and requirements and offer a wonderful service, including getting titles in for me. The shop is lovely and fun to browse.

I was after a specific book and had been to a few other book shops and nobody seemed to keen to help, but after going to Dymocks at Hyde park, a lady called Nadine was so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, she spent time with me to not only help find the specific book I was after, but she also helped me find some other books she thought I would like, so happy will definitely come straight here next time.

Lovely little bookshop with really helpful service from the most obliging lady. They had possibly the last copy of a book in Adelaide.

Smaller selection than the city store, but they had what I wanted, with good service, and saved me a trip into town 👍

Rang late yesterday afternoon for a cook book. Not in print any more. Offered to hold 4 books for me until the end of today. Went this morning and they were there behind the desk I was even offered a chair to sit on and look through to make my decision. Nadine extremely helpful through the whole process. An extremely happy customer.

Excellent service by Andrew. Didn't have book I was seeking in Stock, but accessed other stores to give me options as well as offer to order in. Appreciated his attention to my needs

I rang to ask if they had a book I was looking for and they did, which they graciously held for me. Parking was a pain but it is a great store with some really nice books. I even found an extra book I didn't know I needed 😅 $88 dollars later and now a member of the booklovers club, I'll surely be back! 👍Friendly service and would recommend to all book lovers.

Nice little Dymocks. Alright manga & graphic novel section, fiction section. Kids' section is pretty good too.

Shout out to Nadine at Dymocks Hyde Park, she is the most amazing worker I’ve ever had the pleasure of encountering. She went out of her way to find a book for me, ordered it in and even dropped it at my house. She was extremely kind and helpful. I couldn’t thank her enough. Such a beautiful lady and her passion and dedication to her work is inspiring!!

The staff are wonderful and warm, they love to talk books and always happy to help you when you have a question. They will always go above and beyond to help you find the book you want!

The staff here are fantastic and for such a small shop the selection is good. Also nothing is too much trouble - if they haven't got it they'll get it. I also like that the staff are interested in what you are buying and they will tell you what others have bought in your genre. Sometimes it does take a while to get served - this is no fault of the staff - it can get busy and at those times can be a little understaffed but this doesn't stop them giving great service

What a gem - such a nice atmosphere and a great range of books. Staff friendly and helpful. It is nice to have a quality book shop to visit.

They're always so helpful here and books a such a tactile experience, that it's good to be able to pick them up & flip through a bit when choosing.
