This place is full of history. Allow more than 2 hours to get through here. There is lots of reading, plenty of audio and news reels from yesterday. I did find the men's section a little creepy

I spent 2.5 hours over two days wandering around this interesting place and could have spent longer as the exhibits were well presented. The volunteers were friendly and helpful

Alexandra gave a great tour today! Staff are really friendly. Definitely eye opening to see the history of both the gaol and local women.
Spoiler alert - there’s a creepy manikin that could scare you

This is a great museum because you really are seeing 2 museums in one. There is the Gaol side which tells stories of incarceration in Alice Springs, and then there is the Women's Museum which it is so great to see so many stories of women in one place.

Good museum, lots of interesting stories about women. I liked the aviatrix tapestry, it was pretty and looks like a lot of work went into it.

Sensational. History of the out back through a different lense as well as an acknowledgement of women's contributions in all facets of life.

The jail is very interesting too. Well set out and explained

A must visit when in Alice Springs.

The sections highlighting the contributions of women to different fields was especially interesting. Attitudes captured in the quotes in the 'what's work worth' will resonate with many women.
Friendly staff and nice gift shop.

This is one of the most interesting old buildings in Alice Springs, you can even go into the old prison cells.

There is a lot of very well curated information about the history of women in Central Australia.

Best museum about all Australian women, spent several hours, should have been earlier in our stay and taken advantage of the pay once and visit several times, so much information
