Australia Post - Marong LPO

Lovely happy staff and polite and very helpful. Some fun novelties for sale and always has a good supply of anything you need to send packages. Does exactly what is needed if a post office.

A fabulous post office. The post manager is a lovely lady and the customer service all round is exceptional.

Dear Victorians located on this side of Bendigo: FIND A POST OFFICE BOX ELSEWHERE UNTIL AUSTRALIA POST REPLACES THIS STAFF ENTIRELY.

Marong Post Office feature arguably the rudest postal service staff in all of Australia. This is the post office you choose to come to when your mood is so utterly positive that you need some kind, ANY kind of downer. The manager sneers at you with her glasses perched at the end of her nose -- don't dare compliment her, say anything nice, or even ask about the weather, lest she tear ribbons off your confidence. It's been like this for a decade. And what's worse? The new guy behind the counter is being actively indoctrinated to the poor attitude!

It is never as easy as walking in and picking up my parcel. NEVER. Be prepared to:

*Walk in with your email/text message saying a parcel has arrived and be instantly knocked back because you don't have the physical card.

*Bring the physical card and be told you cannot pick up the parcel for your address because "it's not yours so therefore you can't pick it up" -- except, the parcel cards don't name who the parcel is for, just that a parcel for your address is waiting at the Post Office. It takes me 20 minutes to drive to this post office, and 20 minutes to drive back. For nothing, because the manager and her staff are absolute cake heads.

*Produce ID that the staff DON'T EVEN LOOK AT (this is the one that gets me the most!). That I have a parcel card sent to my mailbox apparently means nothing.

Here the thing: Marong is not a city. This Post Office is catering to homes located way out Whoop Whoop. No one is actively stealing mail out here, and no one wants our mail cards. I don't know what these toss pots are trying to prove by demanding at least three levels of "identification" before you can pick up YOUR parcel. But god forbid you be able to pick up your own mail. To those who pick up mail for their elderly neighbours/parents/etc, you're up for the fight of your life.

You're better off getting your mail at Kangaroo Flat.

Going there 15 years and still demand photo ID to collect a parcel.
I don’t know another business anywhere who would have regular customers for 15 years and still don’t know them.

Most disgusting customer service ever boycott this post office if you can rud arrogant wouldn't realease a parcel becuase it was in my business name and my business name wasnt on my licence last time i checked they only have names on your drivers licence.

Hated being stared down by the senior female attendant there...condescending....attempts to be smarter than you...her son is just as bad when he runs rhe shop....arrogant

Extremely rude female staff member. Terrible attitude for someone who works in customer service. Highly recommend going elsewhere.
