Dibbins Hut

It's hard work getting there. Lots of downhill getting there, lots of uphill getting back. 8.6km from Mt Loch car park. I did it in late May and from pole 60 to Derrick Hut was snow. Very hard to walk in snow with boots on.

Dibbins Hut is an old very rustic hut and quite breezy due to gaps in the walls and next to the top trap doors.

This hut is a pretty good reproduction of the original, and the facilities are OK for the weary bushwalker.

We booked this hut for 2 nights for camping from parks victoria paid few bucks for it only to find out that you couldnt drive to the hut and even google maps was faulty to show the route on drive. You must bushwalk 13 km to the hut with your belongings which was impossible so we had to stay to another campground.And later found out even if you booked other tourist could come and check out the place. So it was a total waste. Anyway if you want to check out this hut you can just bushwalk and rest for a while thats it nothing much of a destination.
