I loved the time spent talking with Maurie and enjoying the view! Billy enjoyed the beautiful spot and the other dog there to play with.

This is not accommodation, this is an experience. We are halfway through our stay and wishing it was a longer booking. The other campers have all been fantastic but the host Maurie is amazing. Knowledgeable and many stories to tell. We have had a few holidays but the kids have said this is the best ever and can't wait until we come back again.

What can I say.What an amazing find.Maurie is a fantastic host.Fire was lit for us and we listened to beautiful bush poetry.Lots of laughs were had.And the view.Absolutely beautiful.The serenity is unbelievable. I would thoroughly recommend The Resting Place to anyone that loves the Australian way of living,these sorts of places are very hard to find.

My experience with Maurie Faun at his tranquil and peaceful place was relaxing,and most enjoyable. His part of the world is so picturesque - it was wonderful to see his community in recovery mode after the devastating bush fires of Dec 2019/Jan 2020.
When one offers a review it is personal and can depend on what one may expect.
This place - 'the Resting place' has benefits that may not be available at other places - the views, the eloquence of a remarkable bush Poet as your host, a welcoming smile and a pride in his local community. So my stay was wonderful and it is not like any other place.

The most beautiful and scenic powered camp facility in Victoria. Really enjoyed the camp kitchen.

We've stayed in over 50 caravan parks around Australia, and this is one we will definitely come back to. We were lucky enough to arrive for evening of bush poetry and music, which was very enjoyable and not to be missed if the opportunity presents itself. Perfectly suitable amenities, but rustic, as is the setting.
