I just stopped for a beer. Unfortunately, it was a little too early for lunch. The menu and prices looked very good. I wouldn't mind going back there for a session.

Absolutely beautiful old pub, wonderful service, lovely bar maid and the food was amazing. The steak is absolutely delicious, the best Angus beef 🥩 I've ever tasted and the curry was delicious 😋, the shank and cutlets where great too. Very highly recommended.

A truly hidden gem - doesn't look like much from the outside but what a positive surprise walking in! Really well kept, with great service and great affordable pub fare. Definitely recommended

Stayed at the local caravan park for a couple of nights and had dinner here both nights. Beautiful food - had homemade gnocchi and pizzas one night, yummy massaman curry another. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Lovely views and terrific atmosphere- highly recommend ✔

I had the best, most welcoming experience here! I would love to give a massive shout out to chef Jo! We had driven 5.5 hours from Melbourne arrived a little after 8 pm, and the kitchen had closed. Nothing else in the area was open, and she could see how disappointed/ hungry we were. She then offered to make us some butter chicken, and it was SO tasty! And I’m not just saying that because we were hungry, it was delicious! Furthermore, all the staff were wonderful and let us stay to the end of the footy match, which was also greatly appreciated!

Arrived on a sunny Saturday to a cheery welcome from the bloke behind the bar. He was happy to suggest the local (Beechworth) brew. The menu was a mix of pub fare and a healthy selection of asian dishes and curries. We had the Grilled Snapper and the Malaysian laksa. Both top notch and completely unexpected from a sleepy looking country pub on the banks of the Murray. Thanks guys you were great.

Despite the fact that this is the only pub in town, don't let my five stars fool you. The food is of an extremely high quality and the chef is to absolutely be commended. The views are absolutely spectacular, can highly recommend going in for an early dinner and beer before the sun goes down. I had the beef ribs and my partner had the grilled barramundi with a garlic cheese pizza to start. Both were absolutely spectacular, and the owner is extremely friendly and full of local knowledge. If you are passing through or staying around the valley area, you cannot go wrong with a visit to the hotel.

Best damn steak I have had for a long time! Wife had lamb shank and was very impressed. Friendly service and a clean airy interior of a historic old building. Beautiful.

What an oasis. You really don't expect such high standards from a little pub in a tiny town. Well I didn't anyway. So clean and well maintained, but still with tons of country character. Friendly and helpful staff and meals that are at a standard of taste and presentation that is way above many celebrated restaurants in the big smoke. Who'd believe I'd have to come here for the best butter chicken I've ever had!

"Best meal I've had since I ate beef cheeks at a 5* restaurant" - man named Dave.
I can absolutely recommend the gnocchi and the salmon dish.
