Brilliant place to stop and grab some good food and a cold bevy. Be warned though, the merchandise store is not to be trifled with.... too many choices at very friendly prices.

Do yourself a favour, make a detour if you need to, but just make sure it's on your list of places to visit. Guaranteed to be a memorable experience. I was on a quick visit from WA when we called in... so glad I did !!!

Great food and atmosphere, plenty of seating, live singing even a few old timers got up and danced together. Food was great size, staff very friendly, overall great experience.

We stopped yesterday to have a look around at the store and museum and seen food been taken back to the workers that looked really good as we were walking out realised on Wednesday nights it’s $20 parmi night so we walked back in and made a booking. Also during school holidays kids eat free with a full adult meal purchased. The staff were friendly. Meals tasted delicious. If we had more time here we would be back again.

No doubt in my mind the very best "pub grub"in Launceston.
I have not had ribs as good as these in Australia. . Ever.
Up there with the very best of USA Fire Pit or RSA Spur ribs. Highly recommended.
The service was top notch, the atmosphere great, the servings were generous and all round fantastic.

The staff here are too kind. I laying on the ground taking photos of animals and I showed up looking like roadkill and ordered dinner. The staff prolly thought I’m going through something and sat down with me and had a chat. Even gave me a discount even when I asked not to.These people are too kind 🥹.

We took our young family to this nice place, we had been driving on the freeway and where looking for a place to have some dinner. The meals where exceptional. My 4 year old wanted to buy all the motor bikes also...

From out of town and was looking for a pub meal with my adult kids. We had the porterhouse and ribs, and chicken Parma. Steaks were perfectly cooked, one rare med and the other med. Very tender and enjoyable. Schnitzel was huge and very nice. Also had a cocktail which the staff member Aquis made perfectly. Looking to return tomorrow night for the same meals and some live music!! One suggestion would be to close the door to the second large eating area if no one is in there eating. It’s cold coming through there!! Thanks 😊

What a beautiful place, wonderful service, fantastic COFFEE :-) and the meals were excellent, down to earth homely meals. The service was wonderful and cheerful and the value is the best we've found yet.

Have been here plenty of times with adults amd kids. Always great service and happy staff. Brilliant atmosphere and have not had a bad meal yet. Highly recommended.

Come over from the Mornington peninsula with the family ĺooking for a place to eat close to Launceston found this great place just out of town just a great relaxed place the staff where fantastic what a great place definitely would come back

My wife and I ate here whilst on our Tasmanian holiday. We were looking for a relaxing pub meal to unwind after a big day. The atmosphere was great and food was spot on.

The Iron Horse Bar & Grill is definitely my favorite place to stop off on my way through to Launceston airport. The food is always spot on, the drinks are always cold and the staff are always friendly. I would definitely visit more often if I lived closer.

Amazing steak. It's not often I get steak cooked to my preference (rare) without it being overcooked. The food was amazing and the staff are friendly. Highly recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back soon.
