Devils in the Dark

A must do experience if visiting Tasmania!
Had seen pictures of it prior to going, but they really don’t do it justice.
A fascinating way of seeing and learning about Tasmanian Devils up close!
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about them too.
It is a little on the pricey side, but a very unique experience nonetheless.

An amazing experience- surpassing all expectations of what this tour was said to be. Our Guide, Leon, was knowledgeable and personable, the facility was comfortable and most importantly, we got super up close to the Tasmanian Devils and their feeding. Would totally recommend this to anyone interested in the fauna of Tassie, or even just looking for a unique way of spending the night and learning!

Devils in the dark was really fun, a great opportunity to see the Tassie devils up close (1m away!!). Leon the tour guide gave a really informative and entertaining talk as we watched. Great wine and cheese and they also had good snacks for the kids as well. Very highly recommended!!

I really wished to see tasmanian devil. The event started at dark, the animals were close and we could see and hear them well. The guide was very nice and sensitive. I recommend.

Amazing seeing so many Devils at once..sights & sounds straight from a National Geographic special, probably not for the squeamish.
Plenty of wildlife on the short drive out, wallabies, possums & a family of geese

This is an amazing experience, getting so up close and personal with these amazing creatures. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. I would 100% recommend this tour if you can.

Quite the visceral experience watching the devils having their dinner - it was strangely mesmerising. An interesting and informative session with our host, Leo, who clearly had a lot of experience with the Tassie devils and patiently answered questions thrown his way. Very civilised watching with a drink in hand.

This is a must do in Bicheno. Our guide was informative and friendly and we were treated like royalty. Up so close to the Devils, you can hear the crunching. Excellent!

The coolest way to see Tasmanian devils up close! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He was very happy to answer so many of our questions while we watched the devils feeding. We saw about 11 devils feeding and watched them for over an hour. We also saw a wombat, wallabies, geese and a possum on the short drive back! This is a must do!

We had a great night at Devils in the Dark. I loved that we were just a couple of metres away, at eye level, with no barrier except a narrow moat. As we sat at the bar, sipping wine (or soft drink) with cheese and crackers, directly in front of us 7 Tassie Devils feasted on a fresh carcass, with all the argy-bargy, rumblings and true to name calls. Our host Georgie was great - extremely knowledgeable, answering all of our many questions. It was most certainly a unique and enjoyable experience for myself, my eleven year old daughter and her friend.

What an great night. Getting to see the Devils up close and as much in their natural surroundings as you could was fantastic.
We were sitting so we could see them at ground level, that really added to the experience.
This is a not to be missed. Thanks to Leon for the knowledge you shared on these fascinating animals.

We had such an interesting time tonight seeing Devils in the dark. Friendly informative guide. Highly reccomend! Even saw a wild juvenile Tasmanian devil on the way home. Glad we drove slowly all the way home afterwards as so much wildlife about!

Awesome experience even for those not into these types of things! The guide Nat was so knowledgeable and kind, and the Tazzy Devils were insanely cool!
