I love coming here with my friends and family. They have so many locally sourced drink and food options.

The veggie toastie is gluten free. For all the colours out there, how good does this break look? I’ve never tasted bread this good! I think they make it from scratch!

The coffee is strong and delicious!

The staff are super cool and the vibes are 10/10. I feel very cool coming here!

Wonderful people and a beautiful destination. The food is so fresh and the whole idea of sourcing local produce is amazing support to local farmers and producers. Best coffee and cakes to die for. 😁. We regularly enjoy a wine and platter

There is a function area at the back of the establishment called “The Back Room” set behind a huge tree with green lawns. Perfect for wedding or any event. The back here deck looks over the edible garden area, Where we had the Perfect for a gin and tonic business meeting 😂

Hands down my favourite destination on the mountain for a food experience that never disappoints. It’s where we take our friends and family first when they visit. The staff are amazing and Brenda and Sonja are so talented. They’re a gift to our mountain hospitality industry.

We loved their vegan breakfast options and went back very next morning. Everything was so delicious, especially their rice porridge. Coffee was also just perfect. Friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating to vegans. Highly recommend.

We initially stopped in just to get a coffee and a brownie to takeaway…. Once we saw the menu, we were well and truly and lured in! As a coeliac to have so many delicious options was amazing. I got the veggie sandwich while my partner got the fish tacos. Both were absolutely delicious. Every person we encountered while there was divine to boot!

We visited pretty much every spot on Mt Tambourine on our day trip and were ludicrously happy we chose Picnic to eat at. It had the best offering by a country mile.

We loved this adorable little cafe with the most delicious food, coffee and treats, a fair way down Main Street away from the other cafes on the strip and clearly a favourite with locals. The food was sensational, as was the coffee. I’m a big fan of Reuben Hills beans and was thrilled to see them being used here! The pancakes and the ham and cheese toastie were standouts. The staff were super friendly, particularly the main server/barista. Do yourself a favour and don’t skip Picnic during your visit to the mountain.

This is a beautifully designed cafe, with so much to offer. The menu was unique and full of flavour. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and everything came out at a reasonable time. The open-air, covered area of the cafe had a great feel to it, shaded by the local trees. Inside, the decor was chic and clean, all the while keeping with the sustainable designs throughout. There are art spaces close by, plus an grassy area to keep the kids “corralled”. Highly recommend a stop in here for something different than your usual.

Noticed this place a couple of months ago and have been meaning to visit. So glad I’ve finally made it here. Really good food and at a price you expect to pay for quality. There are plenty of options on the menu to please everybody and a few daily specials. Today, some delightful winter warmers. The long black was great and I stayed long enough to indulge in a loose leaf chai as well. Made a little strong for my taste. The vego toastie and almond tart went down a treat. You can tell that effort is put into the preparation of the food. Definitely recommend a visit (or more!) here. There is plenty of street parking and there looks to be a car park next door too. Easy all ability access from the street. Delightful staff top off a very relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly helpful service staff, excellent coffee and I even got some advice to go with this beautiful vegan friendly platter as to where the best view was to go and take it for a picnic. What a lovely spot.
Afterword: if possible it tasted even better than it looked. Super delicious mix of flavours and textures. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Coffee is one of the best. Food is always yummy and fresh. Brenda is always super friendly and very passionate about her mission. (Photos are from two separate occasions).

Food was delicious and service was friendly and quick. We ordered the fish tacos and chicken and leek pie from the cabinet. Both were great!!!
Also the purple carrot cake was great and perfect level of sweetness.

Delicious meal with local great cider. Impressive plate presentation and agreement by all five in our group that the meal was fantastic. Great coffee too.

Amazing and unique menu in stunning MtTamborine! Fresh produce made for deliciously scrumptious meals. Coffee and fresh juice were refreshing. And the service was brilliant with extremely friendly staff! Highly highly recommended the Picnic Real Food Bar!

I had a late lunch not long before close and chose a beef pie and beetroot side salad from the counter. Both were delicious, the pie was basically a steak wrapped in pastry. Really chunky meat pieces. The Rueben Hills coffee was great, nice and smooth and the atmosphere serene. Very friendly service. Highly recommend.

Wow… This place is different, and I love it! You know the food is the real deal when it starts as a picnic on your palette and finishes like a fine vintage vino :) Atmosphere / Highly skilled staff / Nature’s sweet vibes and a resident pooch so adorable you’ll remember why we call it puppy love! My whole being was exquisitely indulged and nourished. Bliss baby!

Delicious, fresh and very tasty food! Lovely setting on a sunny afternoon. I absolutely loved my dish - the Farinata! It was so tasty, I didn’t want it to finish and I had to give my compliments to the equally lovely chef!

Coffee is pretty good. I do really like its modern design and environment.

On the hunt for brunch? Look no further. Thoughtfully paired ingredients are artistically presented with beautiful simplicity, all set amidst a industrial, alpine setting with plenty of sun. Great food, great atmosphere, great coffee. You’ll want to linger - and you’ll be glad you did.
