Hickory

As a tourist with a family of 5 coming from Singapore, I felt so welcomed by the friendly staff of Hickory Slow. I truly appreciate their warmth. The food is just as amazing as their service. We ordered a lot. We had both the spicy wings and honey wings, meat combo for 2 and few more dishes including non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails. The beef brisket was so tender! The spicy wings are real delicious. If you're Asian, the spicy wings are not spicy at all. But they are full flavoured. The ribs were thick and meaty. The mustard dip added an extra texture to the meal. Highly recommended if you're staying on Tamborine Mountain for 2 or 3 nights.

Take note: Make a reservation! We didn't but fortunately they created a space outside for 5 of us and then later for another 4 for our friend's family.

Absolutely delicious! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I had the Love Me LongTime cocktail with the loaded fries and my partner had the Forever Young with pork ribs and wings and we shared a brownie with ice-cream. Everything tasted great and serving portions were spot on. Not too pricey as well. Overall 5 star and my partner said he would drive just for the maple wings!

What excellent tasting food!
Had dinner at Hickory while spending the night in the mountains. The friendly service and the chill vibes made for a great night out.
Each serving, from Entree to Desert, was excellent. The flavours in the meals were awesome! Can’t miss it on your visit out here next.

I cannot reccomend enough! Food is amazing. best brisket I have ever tasted. Staff are amazing and so kind. Between the customer service and amazing food, this may be the best dining experience I have ever had. I wish I could give more stars.

Awesome food! We had the pork ribs and the seafood! Couldn't fault the food or service! Great little location... well done to the chefs and waiter's!! We'll be back! .....loved the cocktails as well!

I have to give this place one of my new all time favorite places to eat! The food is literally falling off the bone, it has so much flavor! The chicken wings we ordered were the maple chilli and the only fault was we didn't order more. The service was so personable and friendly. There is no excuse not to stop in for an amazing meal at really good price. They are even open on Sunday night. Bonus!!! We will definitely be back! Thanks guys for a wonderful dining experience.

Great food and warmly service! Those tasty dishes are amazing. Slowly cooked meat are very special, also for the sauce. Customer service is also professional and friendly. I love Hickory and very happy to go again!

The food is fresh and tastes good. The quality of the meat is the best I've seen in Brisbane. The decoration style is American, very characteristic. Their wine is also very good, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic are highly recommended.

Great experience. There is so much to choose from so we tried a few different things. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place is small and was pretty full so booking is probably a good idea. Highly recommended if you are looking for a good meal. Just make sure you are hungry cause it's easy to order lots of food...

Could not be happier at finding this place - the food was outstanding! The ribs do literally melt in your mouth - no chewing required. Friendly staff and good drinks - what more do you need. Make a reservation you won't be disappointed.

Honestly one of the best meals we have had in a while. Beautiful staff, extremely accommodating and friendly and seriously could not fault the food. 10/10. A+++ Highly recommend. Would eat again.

Hickory never disappoints! We hadn't visited for some time and were delighted to find the food and service remains excellent. The brisket was absolutely delicious as usual as were the chicken wings. Highly recommended!!

A little hidden gem on the mountain!
Good for a little date night, a drive & dinner! Friendly staff, Delicious food & even more delicious cocktails! I recommend trying the roasted pumpkin, buttered corn, cauliflower wings & can’t go wrong with the lamb shanks & pork belly!

A great meal and the meats are divine. I had the Hickory Brisket and a side of fries. The Brisket was amazing and just broke apart with a butter knife. The chutney that came with it was also a great pairing with the meat.

I had the Brownie for dessert and an espresso martini.

The service staff were friendly and provided great service. I would absolutely go back without question. The food on the mountain can be hit and miss - but this place is a must-do on your next visit.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. must try the ribs.. best my partner and I have ever had. . We had a plate for 2 and srtuggled to finish it.. food was well above expectation.. service was quick and very friendly.

One of the best meals that we have ever had. We had the Hungry Man version of the carnivore’s plate and the vegetable plate. The maple chicken wings had a delicious crispy skin and the ribs were tender, juicy and amazingly delicious. The coleslaw was a revelation and the rosemary potatoes a real hit. The hummus was incredible and everything just brilliant. Fast and friendly service in an intimate and interesting setting. Yes, it’s this good.

My partner and I came here for our anniversary and we'd been salivating over the Instagram pics we'd seen. We ordered the mixed grill with a side of grilled octopus and a scoop of the warm olives. The meal was amazing and generously portioned - you definitely get what you pay for at this place. Stand out were the ribs. So tender and juicy, fell straight off the bone when picking them up. The lime wings were also so tender and good. Had the dirty spoon and bounty liquid desserts after and we left feeling completely satisfied and happy. The place is small so if you're keen you should book in advance, but it is cosy and very comfortable. The staff are friendly and chatty too, so a major plus.

What a brilliant little BBQ treasure this place is. Sunday evening on Mt Tambourine and we end up here. Fried pickles are totally worth a go. Full, happy and shhhhllleeeeeepy now.
